We worked with DJ Todd Frederick for our wedding at La Massaria at Bella Vista. Todd was amazing, in short. He helped make our experience an unforgettable one. Before the wedding, we walked through what songs to play and not play and overall theme of the evening - we ended up being on the phone for over an hour having a great conversation, which really helped set us at ease for the upcoming event; we were in good hands. At the reception, Todd hit on all notes perfectly and the dance floor was packed all night. He was professional, energetic, and inserted just the right amount of personality to make sure the party stayed alive! We received compliments from our wedding party for the instruction and introductions, and he had the sound perfectly controlled for the Best Man and Maid of Honor speeches. When the groom asked Todd if one of the "must play" songs had been played yet - it had - Todd insisted that we do it again to make sure the groom fully enjoyed himself. He even coordinated for a large family photo to be taken on the dance floor - creative thinking on the fly while I was scrambling to find a location for the picture.A great touch as well: Todd closed with the couple's first dance song so all guests got to enjoy it. We thought this was a great closing note and gave us an opportunity to dance to "our song" with everyone.We would absolutely recommend Todd to friends, relatives, and anyone else who may be interested. SilverSound makes the whole process of getting a DJ for your event so easy. We were given several names and resumes of available DJs and were so happy with our selection in Walt Breslin.

His experience and expertise made the decision easy. We were sent a huge selection of song playlists that we could choose from broken down by cocktail hour, dinner and dancing (fast and slow) It was so easy!! After a phone call to discuss some of our unique requests, Walt assured me he would have no problem carrying out our requests.

Walt not only met our expectations but exceeded them. He had songs cued exactly like we asked for and kept the energy high all night long. No one wanted the night to end and we could have danced for another hour or two.

“I’ve never seen so many tables empty.” “The dancefloor was full the entire night!” “Best wedding I’ve ever been to.” These are just three of the comments that our guests used to summarize our reception and my experience with Silver Sound and DJ Paul Evans.

Silver Sound made the entertainment portion of our event so easy! After an initial meeting, where we were wow’ed by Paul Evans’ experience and repertoire, we were sent a site where we could add songs to playlists (for Cocktail Hour and Reception), fill in pertinent logistic information, and contact our DJ and the company for any and all questions. Phil spent weeks perfecting the Cocktail Hour playlist, while we chose to leave the reception and dancing to the expert. And Paul Evans proved to be an expert! Many of our guests opted to skip their salad course and move to the dancefloor, where they remained for the entire evening. Paul Evans was aptly able to read the room and found the perfect next song to ensure that people stayed dancing. He also used his discretion to take requests from guests (denying the slower country songs but opting for the more upbeat Latin songs like Despacito and some Pitbull). He played “Sweet Caroline” for me and my Maid of Honor (named Caroline), which my Boston family loved, and he played a sweet slow song in honor of both sets of grandparents who were both celebrating their 60th anniversary. These sincere and unique touches demonstrate how qualified Paul Evans is!

Silver Sound also provided our uplighting, which turned our ballroom into my dream wedding reception. He was able to adjust the lights remotely and to our preference. I highly recommend the uplights!

Kevin Compton of Silver Sound DJs is the most energetic, professional, personable DJ I have ever met (and I used to work as an event coordinator for several years)! His natural intuition with music, combined with his fine-tuned ability to read a room, enable him to keep the dance floor packed for hours on end.

My husband and I were blown away by his services at our wedding this past weekend. So many of our guests commented on how approachable and accommodating Kevin was. He made sure to play the songs that we requested, he made announcements and formalities exciting and attention grabbing, and he was so engaging and charming that he even managed to get our grandma dancing! His set-up was sharp, his volume was perfect, and his equipment worked flawlessly.

We got so many compliments both during and after the wedding about our photographer and I actually have several friends that would like to use him for their upcoming events as well. Looking for a DJ last year for our wedding we were recommended a DJ from Silver Sound, he was not available but they sent a list of other DJs and links to their company profiles. As we went through the options we really like Bihn Nguyen's profile and thought he would be a great fit for our special day. Binh was AMAZING and everyone enjoyed their night. We are so happy we chose him to be a part of our special day. He made me feel at ease when we discussed the details the Monday before the wedding and confirmed all of the key song choices by email so they were all the correct versions. He was very professional and everyone commented on how great he was with song choices to keep people moving. We had a couple dancing to their wedding song during dinner and as soon as the plates were cleared the dance floor never emptied. Being the bride the night was all a blur but I know that a lot of the requested songs I had sent in prior to the wedding were played. I also did not hear any songs I disapproved of and he used great judgement in guest requests. I would recommend him to anyone having a wedding or event that needs a DJ because he was on point the whole time! I really can't wait to get my wedding video back to see all of the fun everyone had out on the dance floor. DJ Taz was an absolute pleasure to work with for my wedding in Wilmington, DE on 3/31/18. He provided music for my cocktail hour, ring exchange ceremony, and wedding reception. His cues were all on time, and his pronunciation of my family’s names (including many Indian and Chinese names) was very accurate and rehearsed. We gave very specific instructions regarding introductions of various events and songs, and he performed all of them as we had asked!I made a special request for him to transition between American pop/funk/soul songs, Bollywood songs, and very specific regional songs from Assam, India. He did so with exceptional skill, and seamlessly moved in between these songs by reading the crowd and figuring out what made them excited at each given moment. I also appreciated how he explicitly asked for everyone to come to the dance floor after the cake cutting to officially start dancing. This really removed any awkward and time-consuming moments where people would slowly trickle onto stage (as I have seen in other events).We requested quite a few songs, and he played most of them! Note, for many popular songs, he tends to mix them with dance beats, which we thought was awesome. However, if you really want to hear a particular song in the exact form it is in, be sure to include specific instructions.***Summary: DJ Taz is very professional and great to work with. He follows instructions very well, is a very engaging and exciting emcee, and is a versatile DJ who can seamlessly transition between multiple genres. Frederick by far surpassed all of our expectations! From the very first phone conversation, we were instantly comfortable and knew that we had made the right choice. His attention to detail, professionalism, enthusiasm and flexibility made all the difference in making our day as special and as memorable as it could be. We're pretty unconventional people and Fred never batted an eyelash when it came to our unusual requests…just to give you an idea: the bride wore black, the bride and groom wore matching boots, the bridal party walked into the Jurassic Park theme song, the bride was ushered in by her parents to The Kinks "All Day and All of the Night" and we walked out to The Darkness "I Believe In a Thing Called Love". Everything was timed perfectly and the equipment was top notch, because everyone could actually hear what was going on! Mind you, this is no easy task to do at an outside venue in Fairmount Park. He was incredibly responsive and helpful in orchestrating a plan for the day and also had very insightful suggestions to make sure that everything went as smoothly as possible. The cocktail hour and reception were equally as great as the ceremony. Fred was incredibly attentive, and never let anything slip past him…we didn't have a lot of the normal wedding reception things planned and wanted to let everything happen organically - and they totally did - thanks to Fred. Anything impromptu was only allowed to happen with our approval, and we're very grateful for that…it gave us peace of mind to know that we could rely on someone to run the show without any unwanted surprises. When all was said and done, we couldn't have been happier with Fred's service. He truly made our day one of the most memorable times that we were able to share with our friends and family - and for that Fred, we are eternally grateful. We found silversound via our venue’s recommended vendor list and are so happy we did. Dan Breslin was a phenomenal, enthusiastic, charismatic, and detail oriented DJ! Now weeks after our wedding, our guests are still talking about the reception as the best dance party they have participated in. Dan is very personable and easy to reach; he always responded promptly to answer any and all of our questions.
