I would give them -5stars. (That's NEGATIVE 5 STARS)They do not honor their contract. The contract clearly states a 500. 00 non refundable deposit.That's fine. My kids paid them nearly 4,000.00 & had to cancel their wedding twice due to Covid. They would only refund them 2,000.00.How is that fair??They didn't do A THING for the wedding except hold the date which got cancelled well before the date & they refused to give them their money back. They basically stole money during these hard times we are all living in. I so wish we would have taken them to court. I wouldn't recommend them for ANY event! More...

If I could give Sierra smoke more than five stars, I would!!!! Kim and Louis came up to Kennedy meadows resort to cater my wedding, which is a little traveling. They cook and prepare everything on site! They were so phenomenal. The food was freaking amazingly absolutely delicious and beautiful. The service from the whole staff was superb. Every guest at my wedding was raving about their entire spread. I would without a doubt hire them again. So very glad I had a friend recommend them. Again, absolutely stellar caterer!!!!!! If I could give Sierra Smoke BBQ 10 stars I would!! Kim, Louis and their team we're amazing. We were so lucky to have been able to book them with only 3 months in advanced for planning our wedding. We faced a lot of challenges with Mother Nature, and Kim was always super calm and was going to make it work no matter what. We were fortunate the rain cleared up and we could see the beautiful spread of charcuterie and the rest of the amazing dinner. We had tri tip, chicken, grilled veggies, red potatoes, raspberry salad and fresh bread. The tri tip and chicken melted in your mouth, everything was so good and the flavors compliments each other so week. We got so many compliments from guests about how amazing our food was. Catering does not get any better than this. Sierra Smoke BBQ catered my Son and Daughter-in Law's wedding on Saturday October 3rd in Kennedy Meadows.  Oh my God was it good. Hands down the best catering event I have ever been to!  They were a great team, professional, courteous, interactive with our guests and the presentation was exceptional. Sierra Smoke was absolutely amazing! They catered our recent wedding and we couldn't have been happier. Louis, Kim and the rest of the staff were so friendly and professional. Kim and Louis just catered our 3/14/20 wedding. They were wonderful to work with. Kim was always quick to respond to my questions through email and text. They brought their pristine smoker on site (I think a lot of guests were interested in going out and checking out their smoker), and set up a gorgeous charcuterie table and buffet table. I'm hoping our photographer got some pictures because it was really beautiful. The food was out of this world! We had tri tip, chicken, and a mac and cheese bar (along with salad, veggies, and bread). We got so many compliments from guests on how great the food was! Sierra Smoke BBQ catered our wedding at Camp Sylvester in Pinecrest this October and Kim and Louis were great to work with! Leading up to the wedding, Kim was always available and willing to work with us, providing helpful input and suggestions, and went above and beyond to ensure our guests with dietary restrictions were as equally satisfied as everyone else. The food Sierra Smoke prepared was incredible. <br>From the tri-tip to the red potatoes and vegetables, our guests loved everything, especially our non-California guests who have never had tri-tip before simply fell in love. The buffet was tastefully displayed and they even incorporated edible flowers and eucalyptus, which made it extra special. We didn't get to see the charcuterie board during the cocktail hour, however from what we heard, it was a hit! <br><br>The staff was wonderful at the wedding and came prepared for anything. We hired Sierra Smoke BBQ for our wedding weekend at the Pinecrest Chalet and the food was AMAZING! Working with Kim leading up to the wedding was very easy and she had a lot of great input and suggestions based off of my vision and her prior experience at the venue. We had to completely change to a Plan B the week of the wedding due to chances of rain and Kim was able to help arrange for a tent for the smoker to be covered so that our reception could take over the area they were going to use for food prep. <br><br>We live in Southern California so we never taste tested any food prior to the wedding day and it was seriously SO GOOD. The appetizers were delicious, and the Mac and Cheese bar was a major hit! They stayed with us on property all weekend and served a continental breakfast for guests staying on property the Saturday morning of the wedding and served Sunday morning after brunch as well. <br><br>Sierra Smoke's buffet table display and decor was so cute and matched our outdoor/rustic theme so perfectly! Ara and I found Sierra Smoke BBQ through a recommendation from our wedding coordinator. Aside from being incredibly thorough and helpful, Kim and Louis helped to set the tone to on our big day. Our charcuterie appetizer set up was not only delicious, but absolutely beautiful. Sierra Smoke takes special care to ensure the presentation of their food is beautiful and well thought out. The main course was to die for. We got so many compliments on how delicious the pulled pork was and how fun the mac and cheese bar was. If your looking for someone to cater any type of a event look no further! Here’s my story, a good friend of ours here in Oakdale asked if she could host her boyfriends surprise 50 th at my house.
Without any hesitation my wife and I said absolutely yes! Other than getting outside and straightening up a lil bit it was a go!
The rest was on her with all the pre planning that goes on with a surprise party....
Earlier in the day leading up to the festivities the caterers showed up (Sierra Smoke BBQ) and I had the pleasure of meeting the owners Mr & Mrs Louis Alexander
They were so down to earth and easy to work with, right away I knew Sierra Smoke BBQ was no joke. The proof was in the smell of the food and how organized they had everything from prep to the serving of the food! The cheese,fruit,nuts and veggie trays were so well displayed you just new this was going to be delicious before you got a chance to eat it!
In short I just wanted to give my two cents about this company and the quality of their delicious food and service, I completely recommend them if your looking for awesome food,service and most of all keeping local businesses busy in our communities.

To all my friends I seriously recommend Sierra Smoke BBQ, this company got their act together! I’m pretty sure there isn’t an event they couldn’t handle!

If you want amazing food and presentation, then you must use Sierra Smoke BBQ!
Kim and Louis made our wedding even more special by creating lovely and inviting spaces where guests enjoyed grilled appetizers, assorted meats and cheese platter and the wonderful homemade sangria was a big hit on such a warm day! The meal was also exactly as we'd hoped, perfectly grilled and seasoned tri-tip and chicken with all the fixins'! Simple and elegant!

We had the pleasure of meeting this lovely couple at the wedding show in Sonora in early 2016. We fell in love with Kim's set up and even more with their food! ! We booked them that day! Throughout the year Louis and Kim kept in touch and updated us with our menus and options that we had. Kim also asked what type if flowers and decorations we were using so the buffet tables would match and blend in with the wedding. They have been amazing to work with. We hired them to do our rehearsal dinner as well! On our rehearsal day we did a lot of set up and a lot of work. After we got through the rehearsal we walked into the hall where we were eating and were BLOWN AWAY! The food was so amazing!! We had mac n cheese and sliders. We had so much food that they packed up and put it in the cooler for us and our wedding party. We did NOT let it go to waste. ;) The day of the wedding while we were taking photos they sent over some appetizers for the wedding party to make sure we were taken care of! When we were introduced at the reception they had plates made for us with a little of everything on them! We had tri tip, chicken, potatoes, salad, and fruit and veggies. Everything was so good! Meat was hot like it should be, fresh fruit and salad. We even went back for seconds!! The staff was awesome. They cleared the tables as the tables ate and finished. There was plenty of food for guests to have seconds as well. Everything just flowed perfectly. Obviously we loved Louis and Kim and the staff but what everyone couldn't stop talking about was the presentation. The tables and their display that they set up are so unique and the food is displayed beautifully. We were so pleased with everything and cannot thank you guys enough!! Sierra Smoke catered our wedding a few weeks ago and they are truly AMAZING!! I would hire them again in a heartbeat. The food was incredible, all of our guests raved about the smell of the smoker and then raved even more about how good the food was. A lot of people had seconds and we got to go home with yummy left overs too! Kim and Louis and the whole staff were just great. Their set up was so beautiful and they were a joy to work with. Kim's attention to detail is so great and it really took a lot of stress off of my plate in planning our wedding. They picked up plates as guests were finishing and provided great, nice looking disposable dinnerware. Our beloved dog went missing the night before our wedding and they were so kind asking about him and Kim even texted me a few days later after he was found and told me that their whole family was so relieved that he was home and that is something I will never forget. Sierra Smoke BBQ ROCKS!!! They catered a wedding for my best friends wedding at Union Hill last night and their Presentation was classy and beautiful, all the food was tasty, but the char grilled veggies took veggies to the next level! !! Every single bite tasted as if it had been charred next to a big juicy tri-tip and all the yummy juices had infused the veggies. I like veggies, but there was so much to try I took a very small sample and after trying them regretted that I didn't just go vegetarian and fill my plate with veggies only!!! Absolutely amazing! Sierra Smoke BBQ was the best/easiest decision we made for our April 2017 wedding! Due to scheduling we were never able to taste test before hand but we were confident based on reviews and talking to previous brides and they did not disappoint! Kim and Louis were so fantastic and easy to work with, we even had a power outage the day of our wedding and you never would have known. Sierra Smoke catered my wedding at the Mother Lode Ranch last month. We could not be more pleased with how everything turned out for my special day. The presentation and the food was outstanding. I honestly cannot think of another cater in town that puts on the type of spread like Sierra Smoke. Everyone is still raving about the food. One of the things that stood out to me the most as a bride was that I did not have to supervise and they had everything that they needed on their trailer/smoker. Kim, Louis, and their team are unbelievably caring and were so dedicated to making our day perfect. We asked for passed hors d'oeuvres for our cocktail hour and Kim was more than happy to work with us and offer suggestions. We just had a luncheon for our school program and Sierra Smoke was BY FAR thee best caterer I have ever worked with. Louis and Kim are a joy and very friendly. Their food is unbelievable!!  The meat Chicken and pulled pork sliders) was very juicy and flavorful and the mac and cheese bar was to die for!!! Not to mention the corn bread, the salad and the homemade beans and coleslaw!!!! I contracted Sierra Smoke BBQ for a fundraising event hosted at Hurst Ranch in Jamestown, CA. Kim was a breeze to work with, and came to the planning table with suggestions and ideas of how we could stay within budget but still have an amazing spread. She also worked to play up the theme of our event, which I really appreciated. Kim and Louis' team showed up on time on the day of the event (always a positive when event planning), they were extremely friendly, and the best part of all... the food was AMAZING!! Even the way they present the food is beautiful. Not only did I receive wonderful feedback the night of the event, but for weeks following the event, the food was a major highlight of the event. Our event hosted just over 100 guests, Kim and I had prepared for about 120 guests. There was plenty of food for seconds (and thirds), and each item was scrumptious. Sierra Smoke Catered one of my best friends wedding this last weekend and as soon as they pulled up you instantly knew that they meant business. There truck and equipment was emaculant and the service was amazing! The owners are awesome people that are very friendly and the staff was very friendly as well. The food was delicious and the decorations where perfect! They went with the theme perfect! They even went out of there way to heat water for my sons bottle. I would recommend them to anyone!
