Hotel and facilities were 5* and the service and staff were amazing especially in the bar and restaurant they could not do enough for you, the food however was not very good I had to send my steak back as it was burnt By the time they brought it again my husband had eaten all his meal and this time it was rare in the middle I asked for it medium to well done so should not have been that rare, breakfast the next morning I had boiled eggs and soldiers, cracked my egg and the white of it was still clear so not cooked, sent it back he brought me two more eggs they were fine but no soldiers I had to ask again for toast, had a spa treatment and that was fantastic the lady was very professional although did not get the 15% off I had to ask for this at checkout and it was then deducted overall very good hotel with amazing staff and facilities but I think they need to change the chef! !! Also when booked my husband said it was my 40th but no free gift like other people got More...

Sidmouth Harbour Hotel is amazing, the rooms are clean, beautifully decorated and have great facilities (mini fridge, complimentary gin and sherry, complimentary bottled water, tea and coffee etc). The beds are super comfy, you will not want to wake up in the morning!
Breakfast is great, the fryup is basic but very tasty and a nice flying start to the day. Plenty of food in the continental option.
Have stayed here a few times and not been let down once. 5* from me!

Son and Daughter-in-law had reception there a week ago. Outstanding, not fault it. Courtyard room very comfortable. Wedding breakfast. ... Seating, setting and service all outstanding as was the delicious meal. Cassie and her staff could not have been more helpful. Best wedding that I've been to. Only complaint was that it wasn't really warm enough to use the outdoor pool for a swim on Sunday morning and I kept choking on the prosecco bubbles!! Thanks for a memorable day. More...

We've just spent 3 nights at the hotel, second visit to this hotel within a year.

The staff where extremely helpful and the room was lovely.

Had only one complaint which was the floor we were on was being renovated and so was the room opposite. Got woken up by the tradesmen starting at 0700 in the morning. Not a great wake up call.

Made a complaint and it was handled very efficiently.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Sidmouth Harbour Hotel in September this year, and I have nothing but excellent things to say about it. I could write for hours about all the positives. 18 months of planning went so quickly but the support and help received from Cassie (wedding coordinator) made the whole process stress free and enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble and Cassie was incredible. The whole team on the day were excellent, shout out to Millie and Paul who, with Cassie, helped everything look perfect, and kept everything running smoothly. Food was delicious, all staff were friendly and efficient. Highly recommended wedding venue! Rooms were also incredible, and breakfast was yummy too!! Thank you all so much. More...

We had a truly wonderful wedding at the Sidmouth Harbour Hotel on the weekend of the 4th November 2017.

In the months leading up to the big day the staff were fantastic. Cassie (wedding manager) is an absolute star and couldn’t be more helpful. All the staff were brilliant both in advance and on the day.

We had approximately 50 guests stay for the weekend and all had a fantastic time. They were especially wowed by the decanters of gin and sherry in each room :)

Food and drinks on the day were fantastic.

We would thoroughly recommend both to guests of the hotel and anyone considering getting married there.

We can’t thank the staff enough for making our day so special.

Stayed here for a few days for our anniversary....we had noticed the hotel for many years when it was the Westcliffe ... .but never thought to try it.
Well our inaugural stay was a success and we couldn't have been more pleased with the staff, the surrounding and our room (which wasn't a sea view but didn't matter as it was quiet, modern, and clean). The staff are worthy of a special mention as they are friendly, accommodating and attentive .... the positives of our stay outweighed any negatives... but on a down side we did notice the following; the outside heated pool being used by Spa attendees who flouted rules on glasses and alcohol around the pool....also day visitors dogs running around pool. As for the menus they didn't reflect some price changes which could be misleading. My biggest worry was someone who had added over £100 in food and drink onto our room, which the Hotel quickly corrected. I think if room keys had to be shown when ordering or if residents signed for added items (which I'm sure is standard industry practice) this would reduce error and stop this happening accidentally or otherwise. Just check your final invoice.... otherwise we had a fantastic time....would recommend anyone to try it.....and will stay again... loved it.

The Sidmouth Harbour Hotel is very well presented. The decor is modern and to a high standard but designed to feel relaxed. The rooms are comfortable with a very large bed. The bathroom has as couple of issues that are noticed during use. The extractor fan only comes on when someone is moving in the bathroom. It constantly cuts in and out but significantly the sensor can’t see through the glass shower screen so the fan doesn’t run during the shower. The mirror has a heated centre so it remains clear and doesn’t steam up but the mirror is set very high on the wall. I’m 176cm tall (5ft 10) and I could only see the top of my head in the clear part, no use for shaving. The fan needs a timer fitting to it as the steam doesn’t clear on leaving the bathroom as it stops running immediately.
Our stay was during a warm weekend (20°c), the room become warm and needed the balcony door leaving open overnight. The room had no air-conditioning so I would not wish to stay in it on warmer days.
Despite what I have said, I did like the hotel and it would have been great if the above items were dealt with.

A very modern hotel in the old fashioned seaside resort of Sidmouth. The restaurant has lovely views of the sea and cliffs. The food was well presented and tasty. The two course dinner with a bottle of wine for two was good value. All the staff we met were very friendly and professional. A nice touch in the rooms is a complementary decanter of sherry and gin. We enjoyed using the indoor swimming pool and jaccuci. Unfortunately the sauna and steam room were out of use. Quality thick fluffy gowns were provided in our room. We had a most enjoyable short stay. More...

Immaculately clean and modern hotel. Nautical theme runs through the whole hotel. Clean white and light blue everywhere. Reception staff very helpful and accommodating. Plenty of parking. Bar area very modern with light modern jazz funk music playing. Very well stocked bar. On this occasion I was upgraded to a massive double room with complimentary drinks including sherry. Bathroom totally spotless and modern. Faultless stay. There is a gym and signposting suggested outside pool but in December not interested. Hotel is a 5 minute walk from town centre. WiFi top notch! An off peak visit for afternoon cream tea. The Upper Deck restaurant is very nice with excellent views. They had an offer of Tea for Two for £22 whuch we thought was very good value. My only comment is the chunky cups and drippy tea pots. A "posh" afternoon tea should be a "delicate" experience without the teapot depositing its contents on the table. More...

Attended a wedding reception and very impressed by the service provided by all staff members during our time. The venue itself was lovely, wonderfully well designed and a very flexible space with a great view. We were sectioned off, for the most part, from the rest of the hotel which worked well, but no one minded if we went through to the main bar to have a look around or have access to more diverse drink selection which was great. Food was very well prepared and tasted great. Good selection of everything on offer too. Overall just a very enjoyable evening. More...

We stayed here on a Travelzoo offer for one night (a Sunday). What a wonderful time we had. I had been a few years earlier and my how much it has been refurbished. The outdoor pool was lovely and enjoyed swimming view a view of the sea. The cocktails made by the knowledgeable staff were wonderful. The spa downstairs was a delight, all in all I couldn't fault it. As with every Harbour Hotel, it's the staff that make the place, even when we had an issue, they sorted it swiftly, politely, never once made me feel awkward. For that alone would me return. Well done for making it look easy to run such a fantastic venue. More...
