Working with the guys at Sicolo Webb has been superb. They have met the brief we set out and more. Suggestions, idea's and alternative views offered by Matt and Floella have stretched our minds and given us what we feel is a wonderful end product (we just need to turn this into reality).
Whilst I think have a good eye for what can be done, Matt and Floella have brought suggestions to the table that really do add something extra special and will make all the difference to the final product.
Sicolo Webb Architects would definitely get a recommendation from us. They are friendly, knowledgeable, approachable and can provide a flexible level of service depending on your requirements. What inspired you to start your own business?
Sicolo Webb Architects is a young, passionate and energetic design-led studio established in 2018 by Matthew and Floella Sicolo. We have over 20 years combined experience working with award winning architecture practices in London and have extensive experience in the design and delivery of building projects across a number of different sectors. SicoloWebb Architects was set up to provide a more hands on role for the Partners and allows them to work at a more intimate level with clients on smaller, crafted and materially rich projects.
Matt was previously an Associate at multi-award winning Haworth Tompkins Architects in London where he ran a number of high profile and complex projects over an eight year period. Matt has also worked as a Senior Architect at AHMM and brings a wealth of knowledge in masterplanning, residential and institution design and has worked on both new build projects and with existing and listed buildings. Matt has successfully worked with a wide range of clients from large and complex organisations such as Kingston University, Peabody Housing Association and TFL to private individuals such as a Mayfair Restauranteur and the Turner Prize winning artist Martin Creed.
Floella worked as a Senior Architect for five years at the multi-award winning London firm Pringle Richards Sharratt. Floella has a breadth of experience including the delivery of two landmark retail buildings for Hackney fashion hub, workplace fit outs for TFL and Workspace, and worked on the design for the refurbishment of a grade II listed townhouse in Belgravia. Floella has also worked for Grimshaw Architects gaining masterplanning experience and at De Matos Ryan where she worked on a number of high quality domestic refurbishment projects over a 3 year period. Floella oversees the running of the studio.

To us each and every project and client is unique. We work closely with our clients to tease out project specific solutions that are tailored to their circumstances and the specific needs of their project. We help our clients to develop a design brief that reflects their aspirations for the project whilst taking in account the opportunities and constraints that the project may face.
We do not bring a set design style to our projects as we believe that it’s best developed as an iterative process between us and our clients. Throughout the design process we hold design workshops with our clients to provide an opportunity to review the designs and look how at ways a project might be adjusted or improved.
We work with 3D models, sketches and illustrations as both a working tool to test different ideas during the process and as a communication tool to give our clients the best possible understanding of the design ideas throughout the process.
We are a small practice and we take on a limited number of projects at any one time to ensure that our work remains of the highest quality. Every project is overseen by one of the directors to ensure that projects are well organised and carefully managed to give them the best chance of being completed on time and on budget.
