Great shopping centre, has all the shops you'll need and the staff in there all seem lovely so can't really knock it.

Also has a lovely area just out the back side of the centre where there is a couple of little pubs and a church which is lovely. More...

The Arndale has an excellent choice of places to shop with one area currently being renovated to offer even more places to go. It’s truly one of those centres where you’re able to buy anything and everything. If you’re stuck for something to eat on the go, I recommend going to the Food Court upstairs where you can get everything from a cheap and dirty McDonalds right the way through to Chinese food and pancakes (though not together, unless that’s your thing). Typical big shopping centre with alot of the generic big names. Unusually though there is a handful of less mainstream shops and a great 'street' food area where there are small independent food outlets of all nationalities. Place has a decent vibe.

A shopping centre with all the well known names you could want from a high street.
A food court offering plenty of choice for lunch though this can get very busy at certain times of day so if there is more than one of you one should grab a table while the other gets the food.
The shops are over 2 levels and car parking is on upper levels. Lifts are dotted around for disabled/pushchair access just be prepared for a wait. If you can use an escalator this would be your quicker option.
They also have the indoor market which offers fruit and veg, fish, and lots more on one side and on the other you have clothes, shoes, hair and nail bars plus much more.
The information desk is always staffed and there are digital information boards placed around the centre too so finding what you want should be fairly easy.

Clean and tidy. Help and information desk available. Food court is very crowded during the weekend, but do note there are more tables and chairs below the food court. There is also a smaller food court in the Arndale market area.
Free public bathrooms are available in the Arndale building and food court.

During Christmas, it's usually very nicely decorated with lights and decorations.

There is currently some construction work going on in front of Wikos to revamp the Arndale. So the path is a little more cramped than usually there.

The entrance can be accessed through a staircase or an escalator. Once you're inside it is warm and cozy. There are plenty of shops to choose and browse stationed along the two floors as far as the eye could see. I went there to have some fun looking around and all the shops have a decent size. Not the smaller variants you find in either "Extra" or "Lite" variations. A proper shop. But not a warehouse either.

We went for the food court which was plenty busy even on the weekday at 2pm. The place was so crowded we couldn't find a single seating despite the whole place having more than 100 tables dotted across the domed hall. There were plenty of take-away places to choose from so it wasn't so bad, however.

All in all if you want a simple browse on cheap food and products, this is the place to go. Otherwise I suggest you go to Trafford Centre for a more premium experience.
