Without a doubt the best cheese and onion pie in the world. When I read the one star review I thought jealous competitor. Wish I knew the recipe . Found this little gem today at Cockermouth Christmas food festival..... just had the mince and onion for tea and it was just scrumptious! !!! Nicely peppered and for someone not keen on pastry the pastry was lush! Looking forward to trying the meat and potato and chicken and ham ones we also got sooner rather than later..... they won't stay in the freezer for long anyway! Definitely recommend people to try More...

i am not always a big pie lover but when I saw the Brie and Cranberry and Pork and Apple pies at a recent Monton event they looked so good I thought I would get them for a friend - sadly the friend has yet to try Shirleys pies as I ate both myself and thoroughly enjoyed them :) best pies ever

I get my Shirley's pies from Barton grange and absolutely love them, no other pie comes close to a Shirley's. Also please try the sausage roll I cannot recommend these enough. OUTSTANDING!!!!

I always treat my hubby to at least one special SHIRLEY’s pie when we’re in the food hall at Barton grange. This week I bought a couple of “ordinary” pork pies and a couple with the cranberry and cheese
Ok. Not the cheapest - but who cares when they’re SO good. And they are, Shirley !! Golden perfectly crisped, tasty pastry and FILLED with perfectly salted pork !

Magnificent! My eyes lit up when I saw these pies on a stall at Hebden Bridge yesterday when the Tour de Yorkshire was passing through. I am a connoisseur of fine pies and these look really spectacular, especially large deep filled slices of chicken & ham plate pie. It must have been 4 inches thick and solid with top quality chicken and ham. It tasted just as good as it looked, absolutely superb. Come back to Yorkshire soon! More...
