We have a stunning Nepalese traditional canvas Marquee measuring 60ft by 30ft. Hire of this comes with coconut matting, central bamboo lights and up-lighters. Further to this we are able to provide a wide range of additional items to make up your event space including chivari chairs, 5ft round tables, a bar, dancefloor, photobooth, crockery and cutlery and a range of garden games. Shibui provided so much more than the catering we hired them for!
They served our hardworking crew hearty and delicious food from a beautiful tent that had obviously been decorated with the utmost care and attention to detail.
It made every mealtime a treat.
On top of it all they kept us all in good spirits with their positive attitudes, good jokes and a hug when it was needed!

What do you love most about your job?
We both have years of experience in event planning and have massively enjoyed the process of putting together parties and events. This previously manifested itself in the organising of music festivals and events, and now tends to focus on Weddings and private parties. We are confident in the service we provide and it is truly amazing to get feedback from clients that reflects this. Being able to have a positive effect on events which hold great importance to people is a definite bonus to what is an already enjoyable profession.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I begun in Brighton running music events whilst working behind a bar and naturally gravitated towards trying to make my way with running parties. Whilst working part time I worked hard on building up a promotions company which I luckily was able to take on full time. This led me onto running larger scale events including a weekend music festival (Shibui festival) for 4 years. After many years in this field we used our engagement as an excuse to move into the Wedding and private party business, purchased our tent and equipment and Shibui Tents was born.
Why should our clients choose you?
We are a young company but are very passionate about putting on great events and as such choose to only take on a certain number of clients and give them the full scope of our focus. Having gone through a DIY marquee Wedding ourselves, using our tent, we are well suited to guide you through the process, taking care of all of the details that couples often do not initially think of. Past that our extensive work over the years in events has given us a thorough understanding of what to do to bring great ideas to life.
