As suites the rooms are impressive. They are not large which is part of the DC experience. You can especially see this in the garage where the spaces are tight. |What makes this place special is the staff and the little things. They have a jar of dog biscuits near the check in so this bringing dogs in can make the check in easier on those best friends. The front desk staff is never grumpy or seem hassled. I have stayed at this hotel a couple times for 4 nights each trip and the service is great. For our meetings a full breakfast is included and it is good every morning. The coffee is very good. The bar in the evening is a nice place to meet for a drink or two after a long day. They also have an airport shuttle which is very handy vs needing to hire a cab or Uber. Sheraton Suites Old Town Alexandria is not only a great hotel, but an amazing wedding venue. I had my wedding there October 25th and they transformed their meeting rooms/ballroom into my dream wedding. I had my ceremony out in the front of the hotel and it was absolutely stunning. They blocked off rooms for my guests and I got nothing but great feedback from my family about the hotel staff. They were very accommodating. I even had an aunt who’s flight got delayed and they made sure she was taken care of. I worked with Betsy Jones and she was so great! She made sure to make my wedding what I had envisioned! She communicated very well and is so punctual. She adapted to my changing of plans and had such a great attitude about it. The servers were even so sweet. I have nothing but positive things to say about this hotel! Also, to top everything off, the price was awesome. You get so much for such a great price. The value is impeccable. I like the Sheraton Suites Old Town Alexandria and have stayed here several times. However, the hotel is not located in Old Town, but is several blocks from it. If you are a tourist looking for the shops and stores in Old Town, be aware that it is several blocks away. On the other hand, there are restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping in the area. Stayed there with my wife and our two kids for two nights in October. Hotel is in a great location with easy walking access to Old Town / King street, as well as easy cab / metro ride to DC. All in, a good value - though the room itself was a bit worn and not very clean. Parking was very expensive as well - $37 per day. More disappointing was that there was no breakfast included in our rate, which we consider a standard necessity for all suite hotels. Would still return and recommend it. More...

The staff were very cordial and responsive to requests. The breakfast was great. The location is outstanding, with a Harris-Tweeter grocery store just around the corner and 20 restaurants within a two block radius. I'd stay again without hesitation. The only negative was that I did NOT like the layout of the two room suite. The living room area was really too small to qualify as a separate room. The room was spacious and comfy, but the highlight was definitely the hotel staff. I arrived an hour before check in and the front desk clerk was incredibly helpful, even allowing me to check in early. Each time I came or left the hotel, there was someone up front with a smile on their face. The hotel was also conveniently located very close to the airport and the shuttle was only a 6 minute ride. Everything in my room was comfortable. The king size bed, all the pillows and the down comforter helped for a great night sleep. A nice grocery store was across the street. The hotel was in a prime location The subway was a ten minute walk to Braddock Road or you can catch the airport shuttle to Reagan National airport where there is also a metro stop.
