I recently wanted to updated my professional "head-shots" and was having a tough time finding someone that I liked and was reasonably priced. From the moment I walked into Shelly's space, I felt at ease about using her for my professional pictures! She went above and beyond by taking me to a few locations around Downtown to get the perfect back drops/light combinations. I came in on the worst possible day, after a night of no sleep and hair that just wasn't cooperating. I looked and felt horrible, but ended up with surprisingly good pictures at a very reasonable rate. They provided very useful direction and plenty of options, and we were all very pleased with our results. When I saw the end product, I could see how much of a difference her direction made, making me look much less tired. My boy makes this look easy. For him standing in front of a camera is just another game and he can play it all day.
I, on the other hand, see just a glass eyed stalker desperately trying to capture a smile. Nope I don't play well with cameras. However I needed to update my professional picture. This is were Shelly earns her stars. First of all she made the session feel like just having a chat and a laugh between friends. Rachelle is seriously great! Not just for headshots or modeling portfolios, but she was totally open to working with me and my husband for a maternity shoot. She was flexible to reschedule when the weather didn't work in our favor and wanted to make sure we'd love our photos - which we do! Like so many others, I am a professional in the corporate world, which requires great networking skills, an up to date resume, and of course a killer headshot! Some photographers try to be everything to everyone but Shelly picked this as her niche and her along with her team do an outstanding job!

It can be tough to know what to think about, how to pose, or if your hair is doing something crazy while getting your portrait taken. Shelly provides the piece of mind to not have to sweat any of it. She was diligent in making me feel comfortable in front of her camera. Her equipment also sets your mind at ease, she uses exactly what is required to get the perfect shot.

It is one thing to know how to take a picture, another thing entirely to know how to re-touch an image. She is fully capable and talented at both. She has an eye to recognize what will help your image, while keeping your individual authenticity in tact.

ShelIy really is AS GOOD AS IT GETS! I was fortunate enough to work with Shelly recently and I ADORE her and her talent! ! I am by no means a model, or someone comfortable in front of a camera, but Shelly made me feel relaxed, and even played my favorite music to help set the tone for the shoot.
