Relationship and Marriage Counselling

It was my first time talking to a Therapist.
Shelley made it easy for me. we had a good session and I'm considering booking another session soon.

Q&As

I love helping people to realize their potential. I love helping people to build their self esteem. I love helping people.... period! It is in my nature.

I decided to start my own business in order to grow my experience and to challenge myself. Working in a rehabilitation environment has taught me a lot.

As I said helping is part of who I am. I will go the extra mile for my clients and if I am unable to assist you, I will refer you to the correct person. For me it is not about money at all.

Yes, I can provide services online or remotely on any platform. I use MS Teams, Zoom, What's App Video Calls and Skype.

My counselling area is not too small and there is plenty of room for social distancing. I take responsibility for myself and would never put a client in jeopardy. Sanitizer and Masks are available in case you forget yours.

Services

Relapse Prevention Plans, Maintenance Counselling, Family Counselling and Advice on Addiction. Reg with BAPSA NO.9898254. All addiction related services- Assist with family contracts or relapse prevention plans, interventions, family advice and support, family counselling and support, maintenance counselling and support for the person leaving rehab and starting the journey of recovery.

Special interests are Trauma, Addiction and Addictive Behaviors, Relationship counselling (Marriage as well as Family) Sexual, Emotional and Physical Abuse. Management of emotions, incl. anger. Building up Self - Esteem, Personal Value and self worth. Boundaries, rejection, abandonment, grief etc.

Co-Dependency is most obvious in the addiction cycle. There is always that one person who cares too much! They enable and have a hard time letting the person with issues face their own consequences (I myself am in recovery) I offer lectures on the subject and face to face (or online) assistance.

I am able to see people face to face, I am also able to counsel on-line (on any platform - Zoom, Teams, Skype, What's App Video Call) I do travel to counsel company staff members (employee wellness) and I can travel to see you personally. Travel rates are R3.80 per KM.
