Q&As

❤️ This is what I love about my job lately ?
People are really struggling. But I get to witness them learning to respect their need to express themselves. I see the relief and connection that it brings.
The advances in neuroscience have also been powerful. We now know that change comes when you can regulate your nervous system. It's so satisfying to see people blossom after trying simple exercises that shift you out of anxiety.
Seeing people operate differently from here. Where they can challenge their thoughts and beliefs, shed fear and suppression, feel confident, and have more fun.
This is really satisfying to be a part of ?

It has always been my passion to help people find their own voice. Having found ways to do that myself, I'm inspired to share them.

I offer remote sessions both online and by telephone, as well as in-person in Bristol, BS4.

The benefits of having these options:

You can access sessions from the comfort of your own home, during a time crunch, or whilst working away.
Sessions are easily accessed via my Zoom link (You don't have to be tech-savvy for this)

Services

One of the ways I offer help is through embodiment.

What this means is that I direct your attention to inner experiences via your sensations and feelings in your body. This is how to access the heart of your limiting beliefs.

It's a holistic approach to self awareness and change.

This helps you to move forward in a way that does more than just scratch the surface. It is healing through your body’s core. Made famous by practices like yoga and mindfulness, embodiment goes beyond CBT through the heart of the issue.

My belief is that underneath feeling stuck is a story in the body that wants to unfold.

I work closely with small groups of women to help them release comfort eating, and learn how to manage emotions, without food.

The outcome of the programme is simple: Over 6 months, drastically reduce emotional eating, without starving or going crazy with cravings.

I named my company 'Underground Confidence’ because the secret to reducing emotional eating is building your confidence and becoming more comfortable in your own skin.

In this programme, we will help you solve the main problems that drive you to the snack cupboard every time something stresses you out.

The final result:
You will learn to treat yourself better. This programme focuses on understanding yourself and why you seek comfort, learning how to change habits, and developing self-control in a way that will excite you rather than feel like a chore.

By the time you've done this programme, you’ll have new insight into your challenges and a new set of strategies to support you.

Counselling and psychotherapy in person, online or by telephone for individual adults.

“Find someone to talk to; keeping it all inside won’t help”

Here are some patterns I work with:

- Overwork or over-thinking -
Bouts of anxiety or distrust -
Obsessive patterns or losing control with food -
Recurring fears of illness, death, or other negative outcomes -
Repetitive conflict with spouses, partners, friends or family members -
Feeling unappreciated -
Needing reassurance -
Intimacy avoidance -
Painful or toxic relationship -
Body shame -

What ‘depression’ means to me is literally a depression of feelings. This may mean you have experienced many different overwhelming emotions that have been squashed. So, you may have given up. Or it may mean feeling very down. Either way, therapy would involve exploring and understanding the depression and its causes. Here we discover what it is you really want. We uncover what is blocking you from having what you want, with a view to change and finding a way to feel happier.

Many people experience anxiety on a daily basis. So it is one of the most common things to come and see me about. Left unattended, anxiety can lead to fatigue, depression or health problems. Counselling for anxiety is about exploring what lies beneath the anxiety. And learning techniques to cope with this experience. My training in body centred psychotherapy is particularly useful. Here you can learn self soothing, and ways to manage and shift anxiety.
