From the first point of contact Teegan responded faster and in more detail than any other companies that I had approached, and when I asked for further pricing on different worktop options that was no problem at all, and the relevant pricing options were delivered to me by email very promptly. After waiting for the other companies' quotes to eventually arrive, I found Teegan's quotes to be comprehensive and very competitive. Before making my final decision I did take some time out to read through their online reviews and have a look at their facebook page, where I was pleased to find many photos of the jobs that they have carried out. Seeing how happy their customers were with the standard of work, and how great the worktops looked gave me the confidence to go ahead and place my order with them.Teegan then scheduled in our survey for a convenient date and it was over to Darryl to do his part. I found Darryl to be a very polite and knowledgeable person, he clearly knows his stuff and was more than happy to answer the many questions that we had, and explain and advise on the options available to us in worktop materials and sinks.When the big day arrived I was impressed with how organised the fitting team were, they knew exactly what they were doing and just did it, no messing around, no fuss and no stress for us at all. It was a pretty big job incorporating both Corian and granite surfaces, with moulded sinks and full height upstands going right the way up to the wall units, but the team worked like a well-oiled machine, even when it came to carrying what must have been an immensely heavy 3 metre slab of granite up a couple of stairs and through the house to the kitchen. And then before we knew it they were done, leaving us to admire the beautiful worktops that they had left us with as the only evidence of all the hard work and planning that they had put in to deliver everything that we had asked for.I find reviews and recommendations to be so helpful when I am deciding on who to use for my projects, and I hope that if you are reading this review, and are considering Sheffield Solid Surfaces for your project that my words will be of some benefit. It is without hesitation that I can wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for new worktops for their kitchen, and I am sure that you will be just as pleased as we are that we chose Sheffield Solid Surfaces! What a fantastic team. I have fitted kitchens myself for last 20 years and I hired Sheffield solid surfaces to do the granite worktop at my own house. Because I am on similar trade, my expectations were high. I had created a vision for months visiting Prestigious showrooms like Porcelanosa, Spinks, Karl and Benz etc. Darryl talked me through the process and made me aware of pros and cons of some colours and products. After renting our house out for 10 years and then moving back in, we decided to refurbish the kitchen, which included installing new worktops. The old black granite was impossible to keep shiny and made our kitchen look too dark. After searching high and low and having many companies to come out and quote, we decided to go with Sheffield Solid Surfaces. They knew their products so well and helped us to make our decision, which ended up being a white corian. Given the shape of our kitchen and an unusually positioned window, we wanted to get the decision right. But Darryl and Teegan and the team made the process seamless from start to finish. Turnaround time was extremely quick given the work involved and the installation was all completed in one day. Darryl, Teegan and the team have recently fitted Corian worktops in my new kitchen and I have to say what an outstanding job they have done. From our first meeting I knew straight away that they shared the same vision that we were looking for in the finished article. I am quite a perfectionist and the installation team gave me exactly that, nothing was too much trouble and the level of detail that they went to was nothing short of amazing. Teegan provided me with a number of sample off cuts which we tried against the kitchen units in varying shades of daylight, so when we finally placed the order we were absolutely certain that we had chosen the correct worktop. Totally agree with our friend Lesley Neal (vide infra). Darryl is totally professional and is excellent at listening to your requirements and then suggesting something better. Slick and accurate templating and swift delivery. On the day of installation Darryl and Teegan quickly produced an atmosphere of calm and the feeling that all would be well or if it wasn't they had the capability of making it well. I chose a design from the showroom display and it was a perfect fit taking in a new sink and induction hob and extractor fan. We were introduced to Sheffield Solid Surfaces by Sheffield Kitchen Outlet when purchasing our new kitchen.The kitchen units had to initially be installed in order for the team to come to our home in order to template the worktops. Darryl attended to discuss our requirements and template the worktops.Darryl was incredibly helpful - He genuinely wanted the best result for the worktops and talked us through what was involved with the creation of the worktops and what types of finishes we could have. It was clear he knew everything there was to know about the materials and possibilities for our kitchen.After the template had been created, it only took a week for the worktops to be ready.Sheffield Solid Surfaces were really accommodating and worked the worktop installation around us - which made life a lot easier. Within half a day the worktops were installed. The chaps that installed them were very professional and friendly - I was really impressed.From start to finish, the whole process was simple, quick and the finished product is amazing!! The whole team from Darryl, Teegan and the chaps who installed the Surfaces instilled fabulous customer service - they were incredibly responsive and I loved the honesty and genuine approach they used at all times. I felt listened to and the finished product mirrors exactly what we wanted, The finish is amazing and the price was surprisingly reasonable given the high quality finish!I cannot recommend this business enough to anyone exploring a different approach to their worktops.
