It was like a fairy tale! Before coming across Shaun Alexander Photography, I had contacted two other photographers in the Los Angeles area with excellent reputations and reviews. But we just didn't "click". After many attempts at explaining what I was looking for I was not confident that either of these established photographers would be able to provide me with the results I was after.Then I called Shaun. My world changed, in a very good way! Immediately, he was warm, understanding and practically finished my sentences for me! I knew instantly this would prove the old adage that the third time's a charm! Indeed, it was!Having professionally modeled in my twenties and thirties, I had been prompted to give it a try decades later as a Senior model. Many agencies in both America and Europe now have a thriving industry and niche for older models. Since I frequently travel between both continents, I decided to give it a shot.Naturally, I was not only reluctant, but terrified to step in front of a camera again after so much time had passed. But Shaun allayed all my fears, instilled me with confidence and made me feel beautiful in front of the camera! Working with Shaun was a joy in every way. He took a hands on approach in all aspects: hair and makeup, wardrobe, whether a shot should be interior or exterior and made sure I looked my very best at all times.He has a lovely personality that makes a model want to do her best. There is a symbiotic relationship between model and photographer. You should both have one shared goal, to look fantastic! Shaun clearly understands this. My photo shoot with Shaun was by far, one of my favorite experiences ever working with a professional photographer. Once the shoot ended he spent a lot of valuable time going over the proofs to select the perfect shots to have printed. The end results were as beautiful as the experience itself! The only problem I ran into was narrowing down my choices because the pictures were all so wonderful! My composite cards are gorgeous and I will be proud to present them to any agency, any where in the world!Not only do I recommend Shaun, I can't wait to work with him and his team again!His artistry is unparalleled and he has an innate ability to find the oomph factor in a person and capture it on film for all the world to appreciate. Few artists can make this claim! Shaun is the consummate artist without the super ego that usually goes along with it. An unbelievable find in the world of fashion photography! He is beyond compare. We feel so thankful that he was able to fit us into his busy world -although he travels the globe photographing fashion models, he treated our family as if we were just as important. He created a model portfolio for our daughter that was visually breathtaking. He has an ability to create images, a vision uniquely his own, constructing a gorgeous array of astonishing imagery. i worked with Shaun Alexander on my model portfolio and the experience was UNIQUE and full of positive energy which delivered the expected results and more! shaun is very ARTISTIC and INVENTIVE he guided me through making the shoot work for me..the entire time went on like a dream thanks to shaun's GRAND personality and passion while working.i was very happy to see the end result and the speed the entire project was done with ..can't wait to do this again soon..all my respect and admiration. I have been shooting for many years now in many different areas. I started my career as an industrial scientific photographer, then on to portraits and weddings and now commercial photography with products and models with products, a different world. I recently finished a three day Fashion Photography workshop with Shaun in LA, it was great.He is certainly an artist in every way. He can communicate his "vision" to all the important players in a way that makes the images all come together. It was a great education just seeing the whole process in action. I would recommend Shaun's Photography workshops for veteran photographers and people that are new to the field.
