What makes a great website?
A website is your 24/7 business card. Your website needs to be informational, easy to navigate, and showcase your own unique style. Your site needs to be maintained including adding new photos and content. For an e-commerce site, it needs to be easy to navigate the search and checkout process. Great photos are so important! The most important factor is having good Search Engine Optimization (SEO) information, these are terms that people search for to find your site. Another important factor is security. I can provide new website design or update your existing website. I can provide regular updates to your site, or I can teach you how to update it yourself.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What is my end result? What are my priorities - price, performance, or timing? Am I asking a reasonable price for the services I need? What is my criteria for "good fit"? What message do I want to give my customers? What is the "look and feel" of the site? Do I want update the contact myself regularly or hire designer to do it for me? It is important the customer and vendor have the same understanding of the expectations. On-line communication is great but nothing will take the place of a real conversation - in person or on the phone. Ask for a free informational consultation.
What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The secret to taking a great photograph is understanding the customers expectations for "look and feel". Then using photography technique (lighting and settings) to achieve this look. What do you love most about your job?
I am creative and a storyteller. I love talking to a customer about their vision and making it happen - for website and photography. My product offerings are very diverse, based on my passions and experience.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After a successful 35 year as sports television executive, I lost my job due to corporate restructuring. Rather than move to a city away from my family again, I decided to make a go of it on my own. I turned my passion for photography and knack for computer technology into a business.
