I got tribal braids done at the sandy springs location yesterday and I love them the stylist KIANA did a great job , took her time to get them perfect and we had great conversation. The only problem I had with this experience was how I initially made my appointment for the Kennesaw location ( which is closest to where I live ) , an hour later I receive an email with a change of location ( no one called me to ask if this would be okay with me ) after getting someone on the line to talk to about this , I agreed to meet at the other location . Well then the day of my appointment AS IM ALREADY ON MY WAY , making the hour long drive to the other location , I get a call from them saying they need to reschedule the appointment for later on that day Soooo I would say the actually stylist did a great job but they need to do better with scheduling their appointments More...

I would definitely recommend Shades of Beauty. I haven't had weave in over a decade and I was completely clueless on what to get. i ended up with a sew in with closure with a custom cut and dyed. Iove it. Katina stayed in contact with the entire time leading to my appointment. she answered all my questions and even responded after hours. my stylist was Melissa who did an amazing job and let me know the dos and don'ts for my style. i will definitely be coming back o a regular basis. Pros: very professional and they answer your text, messages and calls in a timely manner. Donald in Sandy Springs is the truth! !! He took his time and did my hair the right way and I love it! It’s flat no bumps and he takes the time to ask you is it tight and are you ok! Cons: pricing is not specified on the website it states 1 price for a bob but doesn’t say only 10 inches so if you want it longer in the front it’s xtra 1st I was told I would have to bring the hair after all ready paying for it in my price. Then I was told to pay an xtra $40 for 14 inch even though he only used a 10 inch and not even 1/2 a bundle of a 12inch and was still asked to pay for a 14inch that I never used! She then tried to contact the manager and no answer so I was asked to pay a xtra $25 instead. It should be specific to say next to bob price it’s only for a 10 inch and not find out the same day! But luckily for Donald being as professional as he is it made it better just wanted anyone who wants a bob know the price varies More...

I scheduled an appointment with Jacarra yesterday for my daughter to get feed-in braids at the Sandy Springs location. When we arrived this morning, we were greeted with a big smile from Katina, which means so much in my book. We were also met with a warm welcome and a smile from Jacarra. She took very good care of my daughter. I was very pleased with her work as she is very talented and very professional! The customer service was amazing! I’m very particular about appointments starting on time; hence, we arrived 20 minutes early not expecting anyone to be there. Guess what...they were there, and they opened the doors for us early and we started on time!!! I highly recommend Shades of Beauty Bar.
