The engineer was very polite and knowledgeable. He explained what he had done and answered a few questions I had. He was respectful of my property and arrived early so waited outside so I called him in and said it was ok. He was a really lovely guy and a real asset to Service team. Truly one of the worst companies I have dealt with. Serviceteam did a number of jobs for me, I had many issues across these (which became apparent later). However, the worst was that their plumber did not fit a pipe properly which caused a leak and resulted in significant damage to my property. Having complained to Serviceteam they stated that someone else must have tampered with the pipes – this was completely unfounded (absolutely zero evidence) and in fact a lie. We value your feedback, although we have not undertaken any new assignments since 1st December 2022. However, We have provided service for several property tasks; we are sorry you feel this way. And we are wondering why you should highlight these concerns now after providing detailed feedback on the tasks you mentioned. For further reference, we will note them here in brief. Installation of en suite bathroom tap – 22nd August 2022: After conducting an inspection, we discovered that the current tap was corroded, needing a new tap. Once the new tap was installed, we received a leak report. We promptly revisited the site, removed the tap, made necessary adjustments, and reattached it. So the leak issue was successfully resolved. Please note that the tap was leaking into the basin and did not cause any damage to the flooring. Disconnection of washing machine 22nd August 2022: Upon investigation, we found that the water under the sink was not originating from the washing machine but from the non-return valve connected to another component that is no longer present. The existing valve was the source of the leakage, unrelated to the washing machine installation. It is worth noting that the washing machine is connected to a separate valve specifically designed for the sink. The leakage we identified was specifically from the non-return valve. We covered it with a bag as a temporary solution, but we strongly advised that it should be replaced. If you still require it, we would be pleased to provide you with a quotation for the replacement. Installation of water softener – 22nd August 2022: Water softeners may have different installation requirements based on manufacturer guidelines. After the initial installation, our engineer consulted with the manufacturer for guidance on addressing the issue. A follow-up visit was scheduled to implement the recommended solution. On 18th November 2022, the problem with the water softener was successfully resolved. The exact cause of the fault is unknown, but possible factors include low pressure, the air in the system, or a mechanical issue. The installation adhered to the manufacturer's guidelines, and thorough testing was conducted for proper functionality. Moving toilet and mini hygiene shower – 1st October 2022: The engineer disconnected and repositioned pipes to replace the toilet and hygiene shower. He then identified a leak coming from a different section of existing pipework, not the area they worked on. Our quotation mentioned that we could not guarantee the condition of the existing pipework and fittings. Your review stated that no other work had been done in the house, but the engineer observed discrepancies indicating otherwise. A photograph provided by you showed a hammer, suggesting additional work had been conducted. Our team values transparent communication and consistently performs plumbing tasks diligently. We firmly believe the work we carried out on your property is unrelated to the reported leak issues. If there had been a leak, we would have fixed it, as we have no interest in leaving pending work. We have been in the plumbing business for over a decade, ensuring professional service. We explained why the raised issues were not caused by our actions and offered a recall visit for further inspection, which was not accepted. The plumber in question has extensive experience of over 20 years, including 7 years with Serviceteam, completing over 10,000 jobs and receiving positive reviews. Neither the plumber nor our company engages in substandard work or misrepresentation. Despite our commitment to service excellence, our experience in this matter has been equally unpleasant. David the Engineer was helpful, knowledgeable and polite. He also came at a reasonable time , assessed the Boiler efficiently , told me what the problem was and how it needed to be fixed. Any concern that the engineer has any sign of COVID-19 we ensure that they immediately get removed from any further visits and immediately return home to self-isolate and order a COVID-19. This engineer will not return to work until a negative test result is received or the self isolation period if over and is fit to return to service. We will not risk our customers nor employees at any cost. We will re-allocate work to another engineer in the soonest possible time.
