Today I had my first visit with my new trainer Steven Pham. Let's just say I got one heck of a workout! It was a 1 hour non-stop training which left me feeling like I was being pushed to meet my goals. As this was my first day and I will update as the training continues, however if you are looking for a place to workout where your trainer listens and wants you to achieve your goals I recommend this place for sure.Also if you're into supplements they seem to have quite the selection, personally I did not explore them but they have a full wall.Just a heads up, the location is a little out of the way but still super easy to find. I've had the fortunate opportunity to access this gym and a few of its trainers, as well as attend weekly boot camps. I've never felt so comfortable in a gym before. It's clean, it has all the equipment you need, the trainers know what they're doing, everyone is encouraging (trainers and clients), and really does have that family feel. I've been a client via the online challenges, which I can say are worth every penny, and have enjoyed the workouts, the group support, the accountability, the relationships formed as a result, and the progress in my physical and mental health. I HIGHLY recommend Alicia and Corey's challenges, and could, with 100% confidence, say that all trainers here know what they're doing. There is a trainer for any and all here. You're in good hands. Best online trainers I've ever had. Hoooly moly do Alicia and Corey kick my butt!! I've done X3 eight week programs with them in their trainer jones challenge format, and I've not only lost over 15 pounds, but have dropped from a large to a medium in everything, have put on so much lean muscle, and feel on top of the world. Their programming is seriously amazing!!! And of you put in the work and follow through with it your body WILL make some crazy changes.Plus- my husband has been doing one on one training with Corey online for the past 3 months, and he's gained more muscle than he can believe! I went from 31.8% body fat to 25.7% body fat in a matter of a month and a week. By training with Aja LeDrew and Chris Hamby. I Gained muscle and lost lbs. in my 33 years of life. I have never been able to gain the muscle and definition I have since joining self made training. This gym is by far the most badass looking gym I've ever been too. Been going to SMTF for about a year. Done one on one and online training with Alicia Jones and have had great success and results. Currently doing 8 week summer challenge and it's been an amazing experience and very challenging. The Jones family are great to work with they supply all the tools needed to get your goals accomplished. I won 4th place out of 97 challengers the last challenge and love the experience and support. I've been training with MARTHA (@mad.training_) for several years, even before she found her home at Self Made, she's that good! She makes me feel comfortable,  motivated, and explains everything. She works around injuries!! I'm getting ready to have a knee replacement and she has taken the time to know exactly what my injuries were, my limitations, and comes up with work outs JUST FOR ME. This facility is great. The trainers/staff are very helpful and inviting. I have been training here with Martha @mad.training_ for a little over a year. She keeps me accountable and motivated. This is a great gym! I train with Martha and she's the best! She's so sweet and patient with her clients. She focuses on our form and takes care not to push anyone past their limits. I have always been skeptical about personal trainers or joining private gyms because I thought I'd be pressured or that trainers act militant and that's not the case at all at Self Made. 10/5 stars! In my opinion SMTF (Self-Made Training Facility) is clean, welcoming, private gym with great knowledgeable trainers. The equipment is great and they have a wide range of equipment from free weights to machines, They even have a boxing ring and punching bags and wrestling mats. Whatever you're training for this seems like the place to train. It is all private one on one with a trainer. I highly recommend Jason; He is very knowledgeable on how to properly lift and proper technique, form, and just a great person all around. The training doesn't end at the gym either, they offer nutrition guides, diet plans built around you, and encourage you to be the best you! The environment is very welcoming and judgement free, it doesn't matter your size or what your training for this is the place and they have the tools to make sure you succeed! I've only been going here for a little over a month and I am already seeing major improvements. Aside from gaining a better physique and more confidence, this gym has done great things for me mentally and I feel a lot happier with life in general. I recommend this gym for anyone and everyone! I have had the opportunity to train at Self Made since February of this year. I have trained at both the Redlands and Rancho locations. First off, the self made franchise model is one that I really appreciate. Unlike corporate gyms who are more focused on you maintaining a membership, the trainers here care about your goals and helping you meet those. The gym is well maintained, has great equipment and overall there is a good vibe to train at. You are surrounded by others with similar goals which motivates you to work even harder. You can tell how much work and sweat equity the owners of the gym put into the business and continue to put into the business. I personally train with Nick Reese. I found him on Instagram and decided to pull the trigger and finally get myself a personal trainer. It has been the best decision I have made! I am very happy with my progress and constantly look forward to the challenging workouts he puts me through. More...

I very much recommend this spot if you want to meet your fitness goals!!! So for the first time ever, I committed to stick with my personal trainer Gabriel, and not fire him after day 3! Seriously.. cause there is trainers out there that suck!  And I stuck around just cause my expectations were actually more than met. For starters my training was provided in this Self Made Training facility with other trainers and trainees.  So, it felt good being in an environment where everyone was working with a trainer and I didnt feel like an outcast like i used to feel at 24hours fitness (with my last trainer).. So it felt like a very inclusive environment.  And my personal trainer Gabriel, well to be honest he was a pain in the ass sometimes cause he just don't stop. But his persistence was ultimately positive and needed.  Which was actually helpful to see that someone is not giving up on you no matter what, so made me think why should I give up on my training .  He pushed me to my fullest and guided me every step of the way, with meal suggestions, to follow up workout suggestions on my spare time.. The facility is awesome and I dont say that lightly. The equipment here fits all of your needs (I have not found an exercise you cant do). Everything is clean well maintained and operational. Mia Mia and Mia I highly recommend!!I started my very first training sessions with her about 4 months ago.Bottom line, I lost about 15 lbs as of now, of course gained muscles with losing fat!Little info of myself, I used to be 110 with 5'7" and from having two kids, I just gained so much weight (about 60 lbs)Whatever I eat, I felt like I was gaining and gaining.Mia really helped me change my appearance.My eating habits got really better with her custom meal plan.She is very knowledgeable with all nutrition and always reassure me with what I eat.I feel very healthy and confident than ever in my whole life.I am still heading to my goal (15 more lbs) and I feel very confident I will be there soon with Mia of course!If you are questioning whether you can lose weight or not, please don't doubt.Just call Mia up and have her work it out for you.You will not regret!! Five starts to my trainer and the facility!!!I have been coming here for a couple of weeks and all I can say is I have the best trainer. Carlos, is not just a friend but when it comes to take a workout serious he will make it happen. One of the things he won't accept from you is "I can't do this". I've been a client to trainers at the Self Made in Corona and Rancho Cucamonga, but this is by far my favorite location. All the owners and trainers here are beyond friendly and welcoming! Also, I appreciate an organized gym, so I am happy the trainers and clients are respectful enough to clean up after themselves and put the weights back.I currently train with Keagan and I can not be any more happier with my results. What I really admire about him is his passion and creativity he brings to each session that makes working out enjoyable. I am a person who gets bored of my workouts easily which leads to lack of motivation to exercise, but he is constantly teaching me different variations of exercises I already knew to make them more fun. His work ethic is great, but what I really appreciate about him is his character. For one, it is hard to find a trainer who is not money hungry and puts out the bare minimum just to get paid. Keagan's attention is 100% devoted during our sessions and he always listens and comes up with workouts that'll help me achieve my personal physique goals. Not only is he a phenomenal trainer he is also a very compassionate mentor that hypes you up when you are doubting yourself to reach your fullest potential. No joke Jason knows how to sculpt a booty. He most certainly deserves the title of "glute master." Jason has helped me with both my athletic and aesthetic goals, helping me perform and look better. I started training with him this year and have lost almost 20 pounds. But one of the best aspects of his training methods is his combination of using evidence based research and anecdotal evidence from his years of experience. From day one he was welcoming and warm; he turned a intimidating and vulnerable experience of improving myself into a collaborative and fun experience. I really appreciate his goofy attitude, but he also knows how to push me beyond my perceived limits. I originally started at the Mission Valley facility, but my trainer, Jouvenel Guerrier (Guerrier Fitness on IG), moved to this bigger facility in Mission Bay, so we train here now. I met Jouvie (short for Jouvenel) through a friend. I was looking for a trainer to fill out my routine and help me with building muscle and weightlifting. Someone reached out to me and I considered going with them when one of my friend's told me I had to try JG (another nickname) before I decided.It's been six months and I've definitely lost body fat and have more muscle than when I first started. I've also noticed my mind-frame has changed. Jouvie will definitely talk up a storm with you with what to eat, when to eat, how much to eat, motivating stories and mantras, and also those lectures when he's noticed you've probably had too many cheat days that week. He can tell with just one look.An example of this mind-frame: I went on vacation and made sure I worked out every other day so I could avoid that "I know what you've been eating" look when I went back to Jouvie. :-) It's a motivator to me and helpful so I don't go totally crazy when I'm on vacation. And to give him credit, he did tell me not to worry about it, we'll handle it when I come back, but I wanted to make sure there wasn't much to handle. :-) So if you want to go crazy, go crazy he'll work it out with you when you get back. ;-)Jouvie also motivates me in multiple ways. His own story is profoundly inspiring and through all of the obstacles he's had to overcome, he's still winning competitions. He knows that ice cream tastes good among other not so healthy foods and he doesn't tell you to stop eating it but instead do it right. He has so much knowledge from his own experience that you know that he honestly has tried it on himself and he's just looking out for you. He knows it's hard, but if you're willing to show up at the gym and meet him, he'll make sure you're meeting your goals. The hardest part is showing up and he's there waiting for you. Not your typical gym. In order to work out here you need to hire a trainer which can be expensive. However there are numerous trainers on site capable of tailoring to your needs and goals. The gym itself is extremely clean and organized with everything you would ever need for any program. They also have open gym on Saturdays so you can just go do your own thing. I absolutely love how intimate the Self Made Training Facility is. Everyone is so nice, the equipment is great and it is always super clean! Nessa is my personal trainer and I honestly couldn't imagine anyone better. I started out with her "Booty Bootcamp" class a few years back and now we do private sessions. Every time I come in she has a workout personalized exactly for what my body needs, she sends me workouts for days that I am not able to come in and she helps me with my meal planning. She goes above and beyond for not only me but all of her clients and it truly shows. Not to mention her amazing charisma and personality, she is constantly making me laugh and pumping me up during our sessions and it helps me so much! I always felt self conscious working out, but Chelsea helps me feel confident in all my workouts. I have to give 5 stars to this place and it's staff. This gym has a TON of effective equipment for use. Even when there are a good amount of people working out, you can always find machines or equipment to stay busy with. I have been working out with my trainer, Vanessa, for 2 years now and have seen so much muscle definition come in since I started with her. She is super knowledgeable, always available to answer any questions you might have and no matter what your fitness level is, she will make you cry for your mama! I always look forward to my sessions with her because I know that afterward, I will be sore from how hard she pushes me and I'll know my workout was effective. I just started working out here recently and love it! The facility is really nice and the people here make it feel super comfortable. My trainer, Vanessa, is amazing!!! For me half the battle of working out is being in the right place mentally, and Vanessa has a super calm and positive energy that makes me feel centered and motivated! So, I've been pretty athletic all my life. I played softball for 12+ years and have been pretty active for the past few years since quitting, but definitely needed that extra push to step my game up. I've been training with Chelsea for a few months now and I absolutely love it! I had never had a personal trainer before because I always wrote out my own work outs, but since I've started training with her, I've seen more results in the past few months then I ever did working out alone. She not only listens to you and your goals, but she gets to know you on a personal level so she's extremely easy to talk with, especially if you're struggling to stay on track. THIS GYM IS WHERE ITS AT! From the staff to the overall environment, there's no other place I feel more comfortable at than self made! I train with Vanessa A. 3 times a week and since starting my fitness journey with her, my life has completely changed for the better! I struggle mentally and I will say, there's no medication that has made me feel as good as I've been feeling! simply from working out and using all Vanessa's advice/tips to better my health, daily! She has given me that extra push I needed to keep going! And she continues to motivate me! They gym itself is great enough; very clean,  very organized and just an all around motivating atmosphere.  With that being said, having a trainer like Selvaughn just made the experience all the better. I see Chelsea Braudo twice a week and it has been the best experience of working with a trainer that I've ever had. She finds a way to encourage you while also pushing you as hard as she can without intimidating you. Where do I begin with this Facility.... This place is Amazing!!! My kids and I have been coming here for a year now and I can’t imagine training anywhere else. We train with Coach Devon and he’s the best, especially with the youth! I love the summer program he has for the kids. Instead of them at home playing video games and getting into trouble , they’re here training four days a week and they love it! When you come to Self Made, you feel like family here! I love this place and I love all the people in it! The trainer are the best ever and they are really professional and they are always make sure you are satisfy with the results. The owner Miguel is great every time he goes around he always give you eye contact even if he doesn’t know you and he is very welcoming . The Temecula SMTF Facility is an exceptional example of innovative concepts put into action. All of the the trainers are all the leaders of their own individual business and it shows. The trainers on the floor are careful and attentive in their sessions. The facility itself is a place where literally anyone can train. The equipment ranges between MMA, bodybuilding, cross training, athletic training, powerlifting, Olympic lifting and so much more. It really is a sight to see. This Training facility is outstanding I can't say enough good things about this place & it's staff, all of them are down to earth and very knowledgeable. The equipment is state of the art and is always clean. The restroom is always clean as is the entire facility including the curb appeal. This place is always clean, well lit and doesn't stink (most gyms smell like BO mixed with old stank). They have a front desk staff member named John who is very helpful and friendly. The facility has so much to offer in terms of equipment. I have been a member of several gyms LA fitness, 24-hour fitness and fitness 19 and these blow those out of the water. Also, because it’s a private gym it’s never crowded you always get to use the equipment you need without fear it’s gross from the last person. The equipment is up to date and in full working order. They have a special area for football training which is what I utilize and a UFC ring which I hope to try out soon. My boys have been training at SMTF in Temecula for the past 6 months and I cannot wait to achieve my own fitness goals there too. Besides football training, my boys have been introduced to a fit and healthy lifestyle by spending time at the gym. I've trained here a few times with Mia Avila and lost 3% body fat within a week, she created a meal plan for me right away, and it was an IN DEPTH meal plan! I was getting tired and bored of my usual routines at the gym.  I hit a plateau and felt stuck.  Working out wasn't fun anymore, but I didn't want to give up on my goals.  I wanted a personalized program specific to my needs and this is where my search for a PT began.This is probably unconventional on my end, but due to scheduling and availability, I ended up working with two different coaches at SMTF.(Don't worry, they both knew about each other and were cool with it :))My first trainer is Kathleen.  When I first met her, she was very knowledgeable and understood a lot of the obstacles I had faced during my fitness journey.  She's tough, her training sessions were challenging and out of my comfort zone, but she motivated me to never give up.  I loved the feeling of accomplishment after I trained with her.My second trainer is Jeremy.  Sometimes, I would complain or whine, but he was always extremely patient with me during those moments lol.  I became sick for about 3 weeks and was worried about losing my strength. Jeremy understood and modified my training until I got better.  He is also incredibly knowledgeable and helped me reach many different PR's.Both coaches were very communicative and were always available for me if I needed help with nutrition, had questions about training methods, or if I needed to talk about things going on in life.  I felt like both my coaches genuinely cared about my well being and really wanted to help me achieve my goals.  I've lost 15 pounds in 8 weeks and feel stronger!!I may sound biased, but I KNOW I was lucky enough to have 2 AMAZING coaches.  I would highly recommend Kathleen Day and Jeremy Fox if you're looking for a personal trainer in San Diego!! I was super nervous to start a new gym but walking in I felt a ease. The facility is clean, and even when it’s busy there is way more then enough equipment, they have something for everyone. My trainer is Brian Schumaker (Team Coach Schu) and he has pushed and motivated me to go harder and improve myself. I’m not yet where I want to be but there is no going back. Michael has been hands down one of the best trainers to work with. He takes a genuine care in each of his clients and spends your training sessions building your confidence and focusing on you. I highly recommend Stefan Batto as a personal trainer! He really pushed me throughout my training with him, in ways that I didn't even know I could be pushed. I would always leave my work out with him feeling great about myself , and I would always be sore for days after. He really pushes my limits and is very helpful with having the correct posture for each exercise he has me do. I had no experience with machines at the gym before coming here, but after training with him, I'm a lot more knowledgeable about how each machine works and the correct posture to be in when using them, thanks to Stefan. I started working out at this gym when I got connected with my now coach, Derek Luther, who has been over the top amazing. Hands down the best trainer I have ever had the opportunity to train with. I went in with the intentions of finding a Bikini Competition Coach and have truly found someone who knows what they're doing, as well as a good friend who understands life and is an encouraging rock (yes his muscles are rock solid too! lol). He has helped transform me and see the biggest changes I have ever seen in my body in the course of training/working out. I couldn't be more grateful and I am oh so excited to continue training with him. Its only been five months! I'm excited to see the changes after a couple years. I had never worked out at a Self Made before even though they have the Headquarters in Temecula, right next to my home town. But this has been the best gym! Working in a hospital can lead to long hours, exhaustion, constantly being on your feet and extremely horrible eating habits. I was always fit and would hit the gym every now and then I fell off that pattern and noticed I was gaining weight and lost motivation to workout. A friend recommend me to Kevin Labar and I decided to take a chance and sign up not knowing how i'd be able to maintain my crazy night schedule and a personal trainer on top of school. With discipline, patience and motivation from Kevin, I was able to achieve those goals and this is just the beginning. Kevin is beyond amazing as a trainer. Not only is his positive energy and encouraging words highly contagious, but his knowledge on fitness and health is phenomenal. He  brakes everything down during the first session, he asks what you'd like to work on, what your goals are,  your weakness, your strengths and even breaks down the pricing with you. He educates you during every training session on what exercises target which parts of the body, he is very knowledgeable on perfect form and will help you work on strength training which is definitely important if you're trying to build muscle on the booty :) He set me on a meal plan since i've been training with him and I had no problem following it since a lot of my small cravings (chocolate) were incorporated during those meals. I have been training with Kevin for almost 2 months now and I have been seeing magnificent muscle growth, strength and great posture in so little time. I've gotten compliments on my figure since i've been training with him and referred a few of my friends to him. I found it difficult put all the words i possibly could in this review to talk about how great he is not only as a trainer/educator but as a person. He really does go above and beyond making sure your goals are met and sending you reminders of the "homework" he has you do at home. My lifestyle has changed drastically since day one and i'm proud of my results so far... First off I must say by far the best place! I used to work out before back in 2014-2017 I've had a personal trainer in the past, but nothing like this! Long story short end of 2017 I became a full time student, working as a server late nights early mornings, and I'm a full time mom to a 5th grader. School, work, my son, life got very busy. I slowly gave up on the gym, my body, and my health. A little over a years time I put on about 35-40lbs I reached my heaviest weight minus the day I delivered my son, but that doesn't count lol. So now a little over year later graduation pictures in my white coat are coming up end of June. I HAD to make a change. I felt gross, over weight, depressed, sluggish, I physically felt unhealthy, out of shape, short breathed. It was just not happening! I wasn't about to take my graduation pictures like that my heaviest and look back on what is supposed to be the best time of life and regret letting myself go and looking that way! So again I HAD TO MAKE A CHANGE! Not just for my appearance, but my overall well-being and health. So I said I need a trainer I need that extra push I need HELP! I looked into Self Made Training Facility seeing as it's an exit from me not far at all and man am I so happy I did! My trainer Alex Lango is AMAZING to say the least! She makes me feel so comfortable, she is so motivating, she pushes you to do your best because she does not doubt you one bit! She is there with you every step of the way! She helps guide you on what to eat and checks in on you! She really just wants what is best for her clients and it shows! I have lost a total of 12lbs so far since I started the second week of March. I was close to 200LBS when I first came to Alfredo. My first session with him was an eye opener. He is a friendly person that can make any nerves disappear. We first got started on the machine all the trainers use with their clients to get an understanding of the persons weight and body mass index. Alfredo was great at making me feel comfortable even though my initial information was alarming. He reassured me that with his custom meal plan and my curated workout routines will drop my numbers and I'll be feeling healthier in no time. Been training with ivan (Tap or Ko Training )on and off for over 3 years I was a little over weight I reached out to him I was super intimidated to walk in to a gym but he made it supper easy and comfortable easy going super personable and breaks down the technique of the work out.  We switch our cardio from boring treadmill work outs to boxing and kick boxing I've trained at a local gym doing cardio classes but ivan has train with pros nothing like cardio classes I guess if you want to learn how to fight with out really fighting he is the guy to go . Josh Cubillo (Crook Training) was reccomended to me after seeing a good friend drop some major weight - quickly. I can never say enough positive things about this gym. I have paid for many gyms, weight loss plans, pills, I mean you name it I tried it. All failed, I was super intimidated when I started because it's way outside my comfort zone.  I knew my trainer from his previous location as he trained my kids. I have been going for 2 months and I have to say by this time I would have quit and made excuses not to go. The results are slow but steady and I feel the gains and personal best with every session. Alma has been nothing but supportive, motivating & knowledgable during my fitness journey. Pari is amazing!!! I took Pari's class here a couple weeks ago and it was honestly the most fun I've had at a bootcamp! The workout was definitely challenging but she assisted along the way, and really helped everyone learn the exercises. I loved that the moves were creative, not just typical squats and lunges. I was sore for a few days after, which I loved because I knew the workout was effective. On top of that, Pari has a great energy and you never feel judged in her class! Hidden away near the hills of Temecula off Winchester Rd is Self Made Training Facility. A huge gym powered by some motivating people. I came to Self Made to train with Bruce on Wednesday and fridays during his bootcamp classes. Before arriving I was so nervous because I'm not in the greatest shape and not to gym savy, but I was warmly welcomed and love it here. Bruce is so welcoming and is so kind when I have trouble keeping up. I love the bootcamp classes because they are tough. These workouts are no joke!! I leave feeling amazing and looking forward to my next session. The trainers at self made take pride in what they do and it truly shows! I've never had a private trainer in a private facility but the young man that I'm working with Is really putting me to work. One thing I love about working with him is he doesn't just focus on the weights he has a holistic approach which includes food intake, weights and mindset with feedback. After tough workouts he regularly checks in to make ensure training was good and I'm on track with my macros, he is accessible and responds in a timely fashion with any questions or concerns. I first signed up with Jonny because I saw he was offering two free sessions so I figured why not. I immediately got hooked! This isn't your typical overpriced gym where you just hit a punching bag and call it a day. You get a full body workout, hit the bags, you get one on ones with the mits, and the combos get more challenging and even more fun as you progress. I've been going to self made and training with Jonny for about two years now and it has been life changing for me. so there are moments that change your life forever. Meeting Lidia (Reckless Kitty)  was one of those moments. I had a friend show me her Instagram  and I loved that she was self made (ehhh see what i did there self made? ha anyways) She started learning about fitness herself and she pushed herself to be who she is today. I have followed my trainer Cindi Ryan-Lim to Self Made Training Facility. Cindi is a fabulous trainer. Extremely knowledgeable, encouraging, and supportive. When I started training with Cody Dunn, I just wanted someone who would push me past my comfort zone and show me new exercises that I could incorporate into my routines. He not only motivated to get out of my comfort zone, but showed me how much stronger I actually am and encouraged me to keep going. I set up an appointment with Daisy Mollica at Self Made in San Marcos and was extremely impressed. The facility itself is very clean & there is a wide variety of equipment to perform a broad range of exercises. As for Daisy, the entire interaction met and exceeded my expectations. Where to begin, my time at Self Made although brief has been nothing short of an overwhelmingly positive experience. From all the trainers there, location and facility, to most importantly how my trainer Tina R conducted herself as a coach,teacher, friend, and trainer. Her dedication to her craft is palpable and what I was able to accomplish in three months is evident of this. I went in looking to learn the fundamentals of weight lifting and form in order to increase muscle mass and gain weight, a seriously skinny guy most of my life I knew I needed help getting comfortable in doing these kinds of exercises and learning about how to eat properly to put on the pounds.Her routines and guidance helped me put on some weight and keep it there! My body made noticeable changes and I grew more and more comfortable with the movements and working out in general. I could not thank Tina enough for her consistency and how she approached training me. As a student my main focus is getting good grades and sometimes staying up all night finishing an assignment would impact workouts the next day. She handled the limitations excellently and was easily able to accommodate my crazy schedule during finals week. She is so understanding and does not let setbacks get in the way of continuous progress which I made. First week I could barely bench press about 55 pounds, by the end of 12 weeks I was pushing 145x10 repetitions, easy weight!!The other members there at the gym including Martha, Andres, Gary, Grant, and Colleen were all super cool and I want to say thank you to them as well for creating an excellent environment. Joking around with them during workouts was really fun and they would often give encouragement to me during my sets. Much love for the facility and people there. Probably the greatest gym I've ever gone to, filled with the most amazing and diverse trainers you'll ever meet. And an owner (the amazing Kelly) who has so much passion, so much drive, and takes so much pride in this facility. Special shoutout time: i was always the type of gal who would start getting into the gym and eating somewhat healthy, and then as soon as I started seeing results, I would treat myself - which turned into me not going to the gym and not eating healthy. EVERY. TIME. When in the gym, I never really knew if I was doing a move correctly, or how many reps and sets, what exercises I should pair together etc. One of the MANY things I love about my trainer, is that she shows you how to do the move first, and when it's your turn she makes sure you have the correct form, but will also explain: why you have to be in a certain position, what you're targeting, etc. I've been training here since August of 2018 with my incredible trainer Michelle Cassel. Since the day that I met her, I knew she was going to be such a blessing in my life. It's now been 6 months, and I'm still going strong! She's helped change my life for the better. I've learned so much from her and am still learning new things from her everyday. She know just how much to push. She knows how to get you to your goals. She's there for you always. I have had the pleasure of having Cindi Ryan-Lim as my personal trainer for the past six months. I came to her with a degenerative disc issue in my neck causing numbness and pain in my left arm and shoulder pain. Cindi's background as a nurse made it possible to learn about the physiology of what was happening with my body. She explained everything she was doing and why. We never had the same boring workout routine. The variety built upon itself and made me stronger and much more able to have a quality life. Over time with her careful instruction, my numbness subsided and after five months, my follow up x-ray showed my disc was in alignment. While I did work with a chiropractor, I do not think my progress could have happened without Cindi's outstanding personal training and my chiropractor agreed. She pushed me, but was respectful of my limitations. She checked in with me before and after our sessions and never let me walk out the door before making sure any pain management issues were addressed. She checked in with me on off days and encouraged me to check in with her and to even come by to see her if I was having any issues for her fabulous stretching and getting the knots out fixes. I've  been training with Michael B. for almost 3 years now, and not only did he correct my form and technique but he worked with whatever injuries I was going through. I've been through small inconveniences like an inflamed IT band to major injuries like a severely ripped calf muscle from an accident. He goes at my pace while still pushing me a little more when I'm not feeling confident. Thanks to him, I'm strong enough to maintain healthy and safe form at my job when lifting and my running endurance has improved by 4 miles. Definitely always recommending him to my friends or people who ask me what my workouts are.As for the facility, I love it! It definitely fits my needs for free weights (squats, deadlifts, benches and dumbells), but the machine choices are a bit more limited compared to other gyms. Mike Flores who trains out of Hulk Fit Co. at Self Made Training Facility in Orange is the best trainer I've ever had! He keeps accountable and will "lecture" me if I go off track on my weight loss/healthy journey. He truly cares about you and will tailor your workouts to get results and also help you to not get injured. Allow me to disclose that my son is 11 years old turned 12, July 27th. I'm 65 and I have been training with Cesar Razo for 13 weeks. I've noticed a marked improvement in my posture and flexibility. I stand straighter and lower back pain has decreased. Also I'm able to twist fully when turning to look for traffic when backing up or merging into traffic. So I have been going to Planet Fitness for 2 years now & in June had started working out with the trainer there but then he left so left me with no trainer. My trainer John Watson is hands down the most thorough and passionate coach I’ve ever met. He is super detailed in designing the program that fit me, my lifestyle and my goals. I have been training at this facility with coach Pui Lok for about two months now. I got in touch with him in the first place because I was interested in learning Olympic lifts and also getting my other lifts( squat, deadlift etc.) checked. I got much more than what I asked for. He is an amazing trainer with wealth of knowledge. He is very good at understanding the needs/limits of his clients and he gently pushes you to your limits to achieve your fitness goals. Unfortunately, I am moving to another city and will not be able to work with him on a consistent basis. I strongly recommend him to anyone interested in working with a personal trainer. I have been coming here for almost half a year now and I just wanted to give my trainer, Nancy Do, a freakin 10 out of 10!!!!! She is amazing and I would highly recommend her. Nancy genuinely cares about her clients and will ask how you are feeling. She customizes your plan based off of your personal goals because everyone is different. I've never had a great relationship with food or the gym but Nancy is able to help me with that. I have always worked out but I never knew what I was doing and had no confidence. Nancy was able to teach me proper form and basic moves before moving up to more difficult compound moments such as the squat or deadlift. Nancy also customizes your macros based off of your body and goals. I've bumped up in calories to gain mass while my girl friend, who also had Nancy as a trainer, went down in calories to loose fat. I definitely see an improvement in my posture, my confidence in the gym, and my strength. I can see the difference in my strength when I go rock climbing and my overall body seems to be looking better. As for the facility itself, its nice because there are only trainers and clients.There is no gym membership. You only have the fee to pay your trainer. It's not too often that I feel that I have to wait for a machine or certain dumbbells although I wish there were another set of lighter weights for weak people like me. Downside is that the parking lot is quite small, fitting only about 15 cars. I like to park on the street around the corner to avoid the parking lot altogether. Some of the equipment is run down or broken...but most things are working well. There are three restrooms in this facility and there doesn't seem to be a water fountain so make sure to bring your own water. More...

This is how much I love and appreciate my coach Antwan. I'm starting to show significant progress. It's small but it's still the most progress I've ever noticed.Attached you'll see the side by side view that I uploaded about a month apart that Antwan had sent back to me, I'm not going to lie but I was pretty surprised because I look at myself in the mirror everyday and am oblivious to it. The other 3 photos are from tonight (although I'm sick and had to skip my session this evening) you can still see I'm making some changes. Recently Antwan launched an intense booty workout program, and that has been the best time ! I can't think of a class I look forward to going to considering I'm not a fan of group classes. This class is on a different level of enjoyment. Not to mention the positive madness behind it; to bring women together to empower and build one another. I'm usually very skeptical about training facilities or working out with a trainer because I have always had a much harder time adapting. However, this is my third time training here with Kevin Labar and no words can express how amazing this place is. Everyone is certainly doing their own thing with a trainer, however, you can see a variety of clients which is great. The place is also very clean, with the best equipment on hand. I'm able to learn a lot of different workouts that aren't so cardio focused; like I'm usually pushed towards. Kevin is friendly and tells you step by step how to do different exercises. Additionally he shows me the proper stances to make sure I do work hard but don't exert all of my strength that makes me want to collapse. Myself and my wife have been training in this facility now with our trainer Derek Luther for about 8 months. I can honestly say as a trainer he provides the highest caliber of service to everyone I have ever seen him train. My wife is in remission from stage 4 breast cancer and I am limited by some back issues that I have been seeking treatment for with a sports rehab coach in the SMTF Temecula facility as it is close to my office. Despite the physical restrictions my wife and I have, Derek has been able to get us into the best shape of our lives. My wife was a personal trainer for 8 years and I have been a personal trainer and performance certified, and mindset coach in the training industry for over 13 years and still currently work as an executive in the industry. That all being said to make the point that both my wife and I know quality training. We have talked amongst ourselves to determine what we need to do in order to make working with our coach (Derek) a lifetime commitment. We have agreed that as long as Derek is coaching we will work with him. In addition, the facility that he trains in has a great and motivating atmosphere. Whenever we are there he and all the coaches there seem to be legitimately enjoying their work and providing quality service to all that train there. The facility was recently remodeled and I can honestly say it is a truly elite facility. The owner Kelly and her Husband are always making sure the faculty is kept in order and has everything needed to ensure that everyone's experience is top notch! Been getting in some amazing training and recovery here with Jason Shirley since reinjuring my neck/upper back after my last trip to Samoa. The facility is legit to say the least. My recovery is progressing nicely and with the extra bonus of his IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization) I've been able to start training jiu jitsu again, still not surfing but progress is progress and my neck is feeling way better/stronger. The recovery/soft tissue work is insane, helps improve range of motion and break up the knots that slowly start to sneak back in after a long week. He kept telling how good of a trainer he was and whatever your goal is, he'll be able too help you out, if is healthier life style or muscle, weight lost or revenge bod! I recently started working out at Self Made and can't say enough about my trainer Tabe! I've never met a trainer that cares so much about his clients and wants to help you reach your goals! His workouts are the best; challenging and hard but results driven. I really like how he checks to make sure your form is always correct as well. I go to his group classes 2-3 times a week conveniently in the later evening hours and he provides me with workouts I can do at home on the days I don't see him. I love how helps me stay motivated through my fitness journey and he even includes a stretching sesh at the end of the workout! I take my dog to Camp Run-A-Mutt next door (which I also need to do a review on soon...they are awesome!) and stumbled across SMTF Mission Bay.  I have tried traditional gym memberships in the past, but they never work for me (I admit . . .  I am not good at self motivation like a lot of people I know).  At SMTF, everyone there is working with a trainer, and looking to improve their fitness and overall health. The environment is such that you instantly feel comfortable and not at all intimidated (clients are from all ages, sizes, genders and fitness levels).Which brings me to Zee!  From the list of trainers on their web site, I was immediately drawn to Zahrai (Zee) Cuevas.  I sent her a personal email and she got back to me right away.  I met her for a free session to see if we were a good fit, and I knew right away we were.  In just 3 months working with Zee, I began to see incredible results in the way I look and feel.  I am currently down almost 20lbs and 1 size and have noticeable muscle definition.   For the first time in my life, I actually look forward to working out!  I could go on and on about how truly wonderful she is (as a trainer and a person) . . . but bottom line is that if you are looking for some motivation to get healthy, fit and strong, I highly recommend SMTF and Zee!!!  You will not be disappointed.  As Zee once told me.... I've been training with Jeff Shalem for 8 months now. I have a back back and he focuses on strengthening my back muscles and watching every moment to make sure I'm not hurting myself. Offers home work outs in between sessions and is patient and positive every time I'm having a slower day. He listens to me when it's too much and keeps the work outs fresh. I started training here with Dakota a little over two months ago and I couldn't be happier with this investment in my health. I'm learning a lot of different workouts and with the in take body machine I can keep track of muscle gain, fat loss, and my over all weight. The gym is extremely well equipped and maintained. You'll never get bored training here because there's a great diversity in equipment. There's even a boxing ring and punching bags. Train at SMTF with Josh-Crook Training. Overall gym is good. New, clean and always playing upbeat music. Only thing I would suggest is a water source.  I'm a newb so was a little Confused by the concept at first but once I figured it out I went on the hunt for a trainer...contacted a few trainers at this facility and was lucky enough to come across Crook Training...so happy I reached out to Josh! He was genuine, scheduling was painless, workouts are always challenging and he keeps me pushing! As of late, I fell off the cycle of maintaining my health and exercise. I eat too freely & didn't compliment those habits with fitness. I don't have an issue with choosing healthy choices. Although, it was difficult to hold myself accountable by sticking to a plan to create the comfort I desire in my own skin. With a quick google search I was directed to Self-Made Training Facility in Orange. I was recommended to Quentin Simmons, who promptly contacted me and set up an appointment to check out the gym and consultation in just two days! His dedication is admirable. I started my sessions and I will attest to the fact that Quentin is a knowledgeable and talented personal trainer. He is a perfectionist and wants to see you achieve the goals you desire. He will encourage you to go extra reps and extra sets to see how much you will push yourself. Honestly, this task to recreating yourself is not easy, but I can already tell how much I'm appreciating all the training sessions. Ask yourself, how much do you love yourself? This is a truly awesome gym. Fantastic boxing ring, heavy bags, weights, and cardio equipment. You truly feel the energy when walking through the doors. I've been training with Paul (aka "Paulie") since 2012, lost a lot of weight and even competed and won an amateur boxing match. He is a master when it comes to boxing technique and as all boxers know technique wasn’t all learned on the heavy bag. It takes a great teacher and time in the ring, shadow boxing and mitt work and lots of it. Since I've been training with Paul I've seen my distance control improve, my ability to take angles increase, lead jab and body shots are quicker and more accurate, my footwork is more deliberate and fluid, and my blocking and evasive skills are significantly better. The Self Made Training Facility is exactly what I was looking for. I have been training with Paul Navarrette for 3 months. I have experienced muscle growth (GAINZ) that I have never seen before, but I knew they were hidden in my body somewhere. I came to Paul because I was very complacent and lazy in being active, so lets just say "he had a lot to work with". Paul is very knowledgable about dieting, training programs, and the proper supplements to consume. My results since training:I've lost 7% Body Fat while gaining 10% in Muscle Mass.You receive a comprehensive "In Body" composition analysis every two weeks to track your progress.        Paul has shown me a lot with inconsistencies I had with improper body posture and movements while working out. This is key to insure the muscle you are working is utilized for growth. You will not regret being trained by Paul. He may flex on you strictly for intimidation proposes, but use it as motivation to strive for greatness (I'm kidding here). It's been awhile since I worked out at Self Made Fitness, elk grove. I missed going to this gym and see all the friendly employees, but most of all... my trainer Tom C, for the motivation and his perseverance during those times he was training me. His dedication and passion for what he does is astounding. Self Made Training Facility (SMTF) is going to change the game as far as fitness centers and personal trainers go. From the moment you walk in the gym you can feel the positive energy of people genuinely wanting to improve themselves through fitness. Each of the trainers here have their own unique style and brand, which is nice to see because you can tell they are very driven and passionate about what they do. Many of the trainers have also worked for other gyms and have had previous experience with the fitness industry. They all act like family, which is nice to see in a working environment.What makes this facility very unique as well is the access to an MMA cage, boxing bags, a weighted sled, tires for flipping, battle ropes, rowing machines, wind-bikes, dumbbells heavier than 100 lbs, and plenty of machines for working all the major body parts. This place is not just for the bodybuilder, power lifter, MMA fighter or strongman, but many everyday people come in and have the same exact enthusiasm for getting in shape.  Recently, they even added a chiropractor to add more value to helping clients reach their goals, and it has been getting a lot of positive feedback. I personally train a few times a week with two brothers, Dylan and Dustyn at this gym. They are hands down the best and I get two trainers; two different training styles for the price of one. These boys actually listen to you with your goals and what you've failed with in the past. Once you start with them they will not let you fail. They make a point to point out your triumphs- big and small. They push you just the right amount at each and every workout.The purpose of training is to tighten up the slack, toughen the body, and polish the spirit. You get that and more with Dylan and Dustyn at self made training facility. I'm lucky to be apart of a team who help me look good, and they deserve as much as the credit for my success as I do for the hard work we have all put in on the training ground You are your greatest asset. Put your time, money and effort into training, grooming and encouraging your greatest asset. Go try this facility out and these two trainers. You will not be disappointed. Now let me rave about the gym itself. The gym is one of the best I've ever been to. It's so clean. Not overly crowded. Lots of different professional equipment for clients to use with trainers. You don't have membership fees. You just pay your trainer. What I like the most is ALL the trainers that work there are like family. They help each other out whether it's correcting a stance, answering a question providing more knowledge, or hyping others up. They don't stop there either.
