Choosing SEG Universe (via Bark) has been the worst business mistake of my life. I spent thousands of dollars and got nothing functional but a logo and a build that never made it to the App Store. In what started in July 2019 and should have been completed in 3-5 months, perhaps a few weeks hiatus, ended this month with an incomplete application. All said and done here in 2022, SEG wanted to disassociate from the project and asked that I not mention their development role in it. There are too many nightmares to tell, including not having a project manager for months, pleading with the unsupportive team to fix bugs after testing shoddy builds ad nauseum, their misquoting the scope and attempts at cutting corners in attempt to delete scope items, etc. At times, they tried to upsell me on services before fixing bugs and completing a very simple scope. At times, it felt like they were holding my app for ransom while they tried to push additional features into the app without executing basic scope items. Through the long years and my repetitive appeals, begging, and endless encouragement, their only argument was that Apple “depreciates” older iPhones and so, in their words, the app wouldn’t function correctly on my phone, even though iOS was always up to date and my team members had the newest iPhones and experienced the same malfunctions. SEG is a team of irresponsible neophytes with seemingly, in my experience, no national expertise. At least one reviewer in this column is an SEG developer and therefore poses a conflict of interest. Hello Brannon, many of your claims here are lies, you wanted us to give you free feature development. When you changed scope multiple times we still stayed with you. We wish you would be honest we have not abandoned you or your project. We have a leave no customer behind policy here at SEG UNIVERSE® and we will not give up on you. I paid SEG $22,000 to build me an app. They gave me an app that doesn't work, I asked them to fix it, they said I have to pay. When I said I would mention this in my review they threatened me. I wish I didn't trust SEG with my money or my project. Please don't pay them your hard earned money. This company is a RIP OFF. They did the Bait & Switch with me, took my money and never produced the app that I paid for. They have people in other countries that are very cruel and don’t speak English well. I am so tired; this was the worse experience of my life. I highly recommend that you NEVER use this company. Hello, we delivered everything as agreed upon. We would be happy to work with you continue launching your app, unfortunately we did not get any responses to our emails and calls to finish the final process with you! The claim of a bait and switch is absolutely false, the dozens of hard working women and men here we have the app waiting for you to take, please finish the steps for completion and or kindly take your source code.

They never answer the phone, they have developers in India with communication issues and the project managers will not initiate updates. Our app was published incomplete with essential functions non-operational... such as payment processing. There were many, many misspelled words and they did not provide us with the source code. The experience with this company has been a nightmare! We were quoted 7 months for completion . Our app was delayed 8 months and STILL incomplete. When we contacted them regarding the issues, they responded that they would get back to us. 8 days later, still nothing. This company has a google voice phone line, a Nashville , TN address but employees are spread out. My advice to you is DON'T. Save your money and most valuable asset, time because they will waste your money by not producing a functional product and they will waste your time with chasing them to get it done! More...

Hello, we understand your frustrations! Your app had illegal practices which we advised against and corrected with 3rd party policies. We did not agree to work with any illegal applications charging unusually high illegal subscription prices. We have put every effort in solving your app. Since some items regarding your app business practices were deemed predatory by the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, we had to work with them to make sure you were approved. Sometimes business practices are very important in terms of approval. We are not saying it wasn’t inconvenient for you, and we understand, but it was not within our control. We wish you all the success. But as you know, we have a USA based team and international team members to allow you a rapid work response. We appreciate the feedback. Good or bad. But we stand firm that we will continue to be there as an educational resource and help with any issue you may need.

They are extremely helpful and guide you through the process of creating a website/app of your dreams. They keep in constant communication with you, help with marketing ideas, and have a flexible schedule. Offer financing options as well for those with not a lot of capital to start with More...
