I love this place! I'm originally from Baltimore, MD and it is impossible to find a good crab cake!! Seawitch has a pretty good one and when I don't feel like cooking them myself this is my go to for my crab cake fix! Great venue for a casual wedding! My niece was married here and the experience could not have been better! The staff were all friendly and efficient with drinks and managing plates and seating. The heavy appetizers were all very tasty, especially the shrimp skewers. Drinks came quickly and there was a nice selection of draught beers! I cannot say enough good things about this place. I was scrambling to find a space to celebrate my dad's 80th birthday with our large group (none of us are from the area), and Jenni made it happen. The staff was amazing. AMAZING. The space was perfect. The food was everything we could have hoped for and more. I am absolutely blown away. Two friends and I went to Seawitch for lunch on a Friday afternoon. It appeared like the entire restaurant was understaffed- it took about 10 minutes for someone to notice we were waiting at the host stand to be seated. Our waitress got to us quickly (thank you!!) so we all could get drinks while we reviewed the menu. After a difficult internal debate, I decided on the ahi tuna nachos with wonton chips, cabbage, mango pico de gallo, avocado, and wasabi aioli (on the side for me- I'm a spice wimp). this place is the best on the weekend in the off-season. great bands, tons of people all ages, late night food menu, bar is maybe a 2 minute 3 minute wait for a drink, open spaces, great place if you like to dance and feel like you're at a live concert

I'm from Ohio, but I have family in Carolina Beach. Just this year, I've been there 5+ times. Every single time I visit Seawitch because it's my ALL TIME favorite place to go in any state. To start off, the vibes are super laid back and the staff is overall pretty welcoming! My favorite thing to get is the shrimp poboy, extra crab aioli. AMAZING, their sweet potato fries, mouth watering LOL. If you're okay with sushi, their ahi tuna nachos with wonton chips and mango salsa, perfect way to start any meal/evening/night on the beach. I've taken friends + family there, and everyone's loved it. Never got a bad thing their or had a bad experience. All employees I've encountered are very attentive. We had our wedding reception at the Seawitch, and they went above and beyond to help make our beach wedding incredible!  The food was excellent, the service was outstanding, and they were so easy to work with and accommodating. They're truly right off the beach, just steps from where we got married, and we had booked their private room. We arrived and they had cocktails waiting and the appetizers, the food was all hot and delicious (highly recommend the coconut shrimp app). They had the space decorated with very cool beachy decor and candles, and it looked so elegant! They even had added in a little "pop-up photo booth" with fun little signs and things people could hold up to take their pictures in front of this cool backdrop. That ended up being such a fun piece for our guests, and the memories from the photo booth will last a lifetime. I would highly recommend you have your wedding reception here! More...

We went here for seafood! I had blackened sea scallops and fried shrimp with side salad and hushpuppies.  My dining companion had the fried flounder with fries and slaw. Food is probably 4 star, had the weakest cole slaw I've had in awhile, but flounder was very good. A 5 star experience with the live music. Flannel Rebellion is a gem of a local band that plays 90s covers, and I felt like a college sophomore again while I was there. For the memories of the songs and the good time that my wife and I had there, a great experience. Nice and close to the beach as well, which would have been an added bonus if there hadn't been giant storms. But much credit to the band to play while risking electrocution from the sky. Staff was excellent, and apparently this is the bachelorette party capital of Carolina Beach. Either that or matching shirts for several all female groups is a thing here. More...

Fun place.  Good food, awesome atmosphere and the service was top notch.   Wife is from Maryland and NEVER chances ordering a crab cake unless she is in Maryland.   Since we had been at Kure Beach all week she was really wanting to get a crab cake.   The waitress (Angela or Angie) recommended the crab cake and accepted my wife's challenge of "I am from Maryland"!     As you can guess this story has a happy ending.   Very good crab cake!   I had the Bacon Burger and it was also good.  Kinda wish I had tried the crab cakes too, but I didn't even get a bite of my wife's!  Bottom line is this place is just fun and has the good food to bring it all together.   Gets busy, but is worth the wait. Waited for about 25 minutes for a table and was pleasantly surprised by the quaint little area outside. Nice live music playing was a little loud and rowdy but overall a nice atmosphere. Great atmosphere and food. Live music was entertaining (which they have often) and our waitress was nice. This restaurant has vegetarian options which was wonderful and convenient for me personally. My whole family enjoyed their meals and loved the place as a whole. The only complaint I have is that they were 21+ on a Friday night after 10 PM and so we had to turn around as not all of us were over 21. We were there a few weeks back. The food was wonderful, the manager came by and spoke to us and the kids. Our waiter Dan was the Best of the Best! ! He recommended how our seafood should be cooked and it came back wonderful. He talked to the little ones just like he knew them for ever, and they along with us was impressed!! Think about a cheesy Crab Dip...  Yummy! What about some flavorful Grilled Mahi Tacos with two flour tortillas w/ cilantro lime sour cream, cabbage, & homemade pico de gallo served w/ tortilla chips & salsa.  Well, that's some of the menu items I tried at Seawitch.  Delicious!!!  Located at Carolina Beach, this is a hot spot to visit for cocktails, great food, and live music.  I was there during off season, so it was not insanely crowded. When I walked in, I spotted a great table occupied by this young man who quickly got up to offer me his spot.  It turns out he was the new owner, along with his soon to be wife at the time.   I soon found out he was a 305 fellow and a Dolphin fan.  A Dolphin fan in NC Are you kidding me?  Can't get any better than that. Loved the live music! Kinda hard to hear if you are seated near the music but I didn't really mind. Pretty good food, I had the tacos and the apple pecan salad which I recommend. Super lively and local!

Yum!!! Get the ahi tuna nachos! They were the best thing we had! We will definitely go back, just for those!The seafood chowder is different from most chowders you find at CB, and has a strong bacon (and earthier) flavor than any other I've tried. The fried seafood platter was also different from the typical version. They use a cornmeal batter, and I prefer a traditional flour dredge. But the sweet potato fries are some of the very best I've ever had! They got the cinnamon sugar coating/toss just right! :DThe crab cakes are awesome! The (kids') Chicken Alfredo is excellent! We went on a Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. and they don't open until 4! No problem. Drove to get a few things needed from the grocery and came back. We have a meal and drinks here at least once every year when we vacation on Carolina Beach. Great frozen drinks and beer selection. I love the crab dip and shrimp bruschetta appetizers.
