Season did a newborn session for us in our home. She was awesome with our tiny baby and was totally considerate of our needs and hers during the session. She had great ideas for shots and was also very willing to work with us on whatever shots we wanted. She came with outfits, wraps, props, and accessories- all high quality and tasteful, nothing cheesy or over the top. The pictures came out absolutely beautiful- so far beyond what we ever dreamed! We used Season several months ago for new company headshots for 20+ employees. She was quick and the results were great, so naturally we reached out again when we had several new employees. Some people are naturally nervous and reluctant to get their photos taken, but Season is great about telling you how to turn and where to place your hands for a natural and flattering shot. Season has photographed my newborns and our family four times both outdoors and in studio. Each time she managed to capture stunningly beautiful pictures of my children that amazed me, because I would often leave our sessions sure that there was no possible way she got a good shot with my uncooperative children. Season truly has the patience of a SAINT when working with children and manages to coax the best smiles from even the grumpiest child. Even though I moved away from Durham in 2006, I returned in the summer of 2007 to visit friends and to have Season photograph my 3 kids. I saw how she captured the expressions, movements and joy of childhood in my friends' children, and I wanted her to try to do the same for mine. She doesn't do studio portraiture (except maybe for newborns) and uses natural outdoor lighting, textures and colors to bring out the best in your children. Then, she works some magic on her computer to create stunning, ethereal photos of them. I had wanted her to try to shoot the photos in an urban area, so she went out and scouted alleys, streets, doors, and windows the day before so she could use those backgrounds in my kids' shoot. The results were everything I expected. And, Season's so easy to work with to boot. Her prices are exceptionally reasonable for the quality of the photos you get. Season captures the ""real"" moments of life. The best part about her pictures are they are unique, reflecting the child, the family etc. I carefully reviewed her gallery before selecting her to photgraph my family. If you are tired with the canned poses, the canned props and dragging your poor children to the mall (only to have your ""appt"" be an hour late) like I was then hire Season! We used Season to take pictures of our family a few months ago. I have used several other places in the Triangle and was not please with the results as the pictures turned out cheesy and fake looking. Our pictures from Season were so natural and fun and playful. No posing just how we would be everyday. Our friends and relatives cried when they saw the proofs. They were the most gorgeous pictures ever taken of us. We just loved them and the best part is they captured our personality, especially our young daughter who was 1 year old. I have truly never seen work as wonderful as hers. She photographed my then 3 year old son and the outcome was truly amazing.
