All the fish is fresh. No frozen food here! Â You can get fried, blackened or fried so there is something for everyone's taste. Oysters were in season so they offered large oysters on the half shell raw or steamed. Yum! Â I had the fish of the day, blackened trigger. Huge portion of this mild, dense fish. Â So so Good! Seafood Kitchen is the best seafood place we have been able to find since moving to Jacksonville! Â You get a ton of food for the price and its top quality. Â The wait is definitely less than other seafood restaurants around as well. Â A side note, Â if you get lucky enough to land Melody as your waiter your experience will be greatly improved! Amazing seafood, fantastic portions for the price: amazing value! The flavors stood out as the best seafood along the Atlantic that I've ever had. The blackened triggerfish and fried mayport shrimp delighted my tastebuds as well as my wallet, and the seasonal seafood gumbo was to die for! I have been going here for decades. I remember my father taking us here as a kid; whenever we went to the beach. While it has been updated, it still brings back childhood memories. Now I bring my children here. We usually get the conch fritter appetizer, and split the combination platter. (Feeds and adult and two kiddos, 6 and 8, just fine) my only grip is the amount of scallops they put on the platter. It seems to get smaller and smaller each time. This time it was 3 scallops. That seems minuscule compared to the rest of the platter. While I give my kids everything they really enjoy the scallops. Three seems a little weak, even if it was only for me. It's a scallop. My boyfriend & I ate here for dinner tonight. The food was so good! My boyfriend had the whole fried flounder & I had the blackened fish tacos. Both were fresh & yummy! The cheese grits are amazing! My boyfriend doesn't normally like coleslaw but he ate all of it! He said it was really good. This is my visit to Seafood Kitchen and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff is always great. My family went there during Thanksgiving weekend and decided to try something new. Good food friendly staff , they sure turned this place around my wife and I dined in here about 5 or 6 uh years ago i could not find any thing good to say just all around bad . ...so when we ventured out for my birth day dinner with all the kids that makes us 7 deep I was sceptical to say the least . Ate there for the first time recently since we moved. Got the fried shrimp and deviled crab combo. Came with baked potato, hush puppies and cole slaw. Great food and big portions for the price. Wow. Another great meal at Seafood Kitchen. Thanks to Liz, the food came out quickly and ice cold were the oysters and piping hot was the fresh snapper. The fried shrimp were over the top and great service. Delicious coleslaw and fried green tomatoes and collard greens! If you are visiting Neptune Beach, you have to give this place a try. The food here is fresh and fantastic! Our server, Catherine, was so helpful. This was our first time here and weren't sure what Trigger was. Catherine took time to explain the different menu items and made suggestions. I am so glad that she suggested the fish tacos made with the local Trigger. They were amazing! Great taste with just the right amount of char on the taco shells. I went to eat here one single time. It was with a large party. They ordered a ton of food. I don’t personally love fried fish but I had a great time here. I like the fishy dip the most. I couldn’t get enough! I don’t really like fish and chips and that seems to be their thing. Everyone I was with was white and liked the food a whole ton. I had another order or fishy dip. My sister and I love to come here for the fresh seafood. We were in there last week. I got the trigger fish, she got the oysters. She also got a cup of the crab soup to try. It was hands down the BEST that I have ever had. I want to be selfish and keep it to myself, but I would be doing a disservice to all readers as well as the restaurant. My mouth is watering for it now as I write this. Our waitress was Debbie. You can tell she loves her job because no one could fake the friendliness and knowledge of the food.
