We hired Scottify for our wedding in December. Due to the distance we were only able to meet through Skype, but we knew from our first chat that we had made the right choice. Scott is very professional yet adds his personal touch to all he does. He checked in with us periodically to make sure we had everything under control, and always asked if he could help in any way. As a professional in the business we took all his suggestions and recommendations to heart. When it came to the music he made sure it was OUR music not what he thought should be played. We booked Scottify for our September 8th wedding at the Estates of Sunnybrook and he did an AMAZING job! Scott put together music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception - as well as set up lights, recorded all the speeches and had a phone charging station for our guests to use! Working with Scott, from start to finish, was simple and FUN! His playlist platform is super easy to use, and also provides the ability to submit your own selections - so you're not tied down to the basic wedding music. We are big music lovers, so we had a ton of songs that we definitely wanted to play, and Scott did such a great job at mixing all our faves, as well as adding in some other songs that we may not have thought of. I booked Scottify for my September wedding and couldn’t have made a better choice! From our first meeting, to check-ins along the way, Scott was really there for us. He was able to provide suggestions, answer questions, and find songs that we couldn’t even find! Scott allowed us to choose our own music for both the reception and ceremony. He was also able to fill in with great choices where we had gaps. Our reception was amazing thanks to Scott! The dance floor was full the ENTIRE night. My now Wife and I, booked Scott for our wedding and I couldn't be happier with his work! We met with him a year before the wedding and right away I knew, HE'S OUR DJ! He was great from the day we met all the way up to the wedding. Even after, he has still kept in touch! I knew that I wanted my wedding playlist to be a mix of country and 90's and he didn't disappoint! He gave us the opportunity to build our own playlist, and ensure all the songs WE wanted were played throughout the night. He came up with the rest of the songs for us, and it was perfect. The playlist was everything we wanted and more! He really played to our wants and to our guests dancing away! He kept the dance floor full of life all night long! I really LOVE how he brought a charging station because it’s 2018 and EVERYONE has a phone! Firstly, Scott: Thanks again, man! Like I said, you were a huge part of why we will never forget our big day. I wish we had the venue 'til 5am! (I know we had enough music lined up!) To the prospective customers looking for a DJ: I know how I feel when I read some of these reviews. "Did he pay someone to write that?", or "They must have known each other from before". Neither is true. All of those top marks from me are genuine, honest, and well-deserved. Given our experience with Scott, I know all of the other reviews that you will see on him are genuine and honest too. Scott was: 1. Professional (and friendly): quick to reply to all my emails. Everything from my initial inquiry, to tweaking the few last minute additions to the playlist. Dressed in a nice vest and tie on our big day. 2. Great value: As I did my research on DJ's, finding the 'best deal' was top of mind (I always am looking for the best deal!). Based on my research (spoke with five DJs total, so, yes, very small sample), I'd guess Scott is somewhere near the middle of the pack when it comes to pricing in the GTA. I can't stress this enough though: you are getting top of the pack talent! To me, that's the definition of 'great value'. 3. Talented (and passionate): the mixing of music and the playlist that we worked on together had the dance floor full all night. Scott's timing with song selection, his passion for music, and his grooving a little bit in his booth were a big reason why! (it didn't hurt that my bride and I hardly left the floor either!) Scott was an amazing DJ from start to finish. After a few run ins with unreliable DJs and witnessing a few cheesy ones it was apartment that we needed to find the right fit, and DJ Scottify was it! After following his insta stories and meeting him in person we felt confident and assured that Scott was the perfect person to keep our dance floor the focus of the wedding! Scott had an easy to use play list builder and re assured us that our wedding would be tailored exactly how we wanted it. He regularly followed up with us without on music choices and gave us amazing recommendations when we were stuck. Scott was the most incredible vendor at our wedding to work with! He is so flexible, so kind, and is ALWAYS available to communicate! We met with Scott and face-timed with him whenever we had questions, and he was always available to make sure we had everything we wanted. The music, chosen by us, was created on his playlist creator and made everything so organized and straight forward! I would say I was a pretty chilled out bride, but the only thing I knew I was going to be a bridezilla about was our DJ for our wedding. When planning my wedding I talked to a lot of DJs and none of them made me feel confident they got my vibe/vision for the Wedding music except for Scottify events. The first time we spoke i felt completely at ease for the first time when talking to a DJ. He told me about the online portal where we could go in and select songs we liked/didn’t like and we would work them into the night. I thought this was amazing since I had such a specific vision for our music playlist. Adding all the songs was so much fun! Through all the planning we actually ended up also using Scott’s services for our ceremony and cocktail hour. I was a bit lost when it came to music for these events but Scott helped me all the way giving me guidance on what would fit well. Also should mention how quick he was with responding, not many other vendors were. The night of the wedding came and I can’t tell you he did not disappoint! I have been to a lot of weddings where people were few and far between on the dance floor but no our wedding! No word of a lie people were on the dance floor from the very first song, all the way to the last song at 2:30am. I can’t tell you how pleased we were with the song progression through the night, everyone had such an amazing time and my friend who is getting married overseas told me I have to send her the playlist for her upcoming wedding! From the first time I spoke with Scott he was nothing but kind, professional and excitied to help make our wedding the best day ever. Scott was very good at keeping in touch with us through out the whole process and even offered to speak with our venue personally regarding any questions he had. This took a huge weight off my shoulders as I already had a million things to do. A week before our wedding we found our hall does not offer any type of sound system and Scott would need to bring his own. He was very fair and kind with the increase of packages and cost. We had dozens of compliments on the music for the wedding and the dance floor was always packed! I would highly recommend Scott for everyone, he was absolutely wonderful from start to finish and our wedding would not have been such an amazing night if he wasn't part of it. I have to say Scott from Scottify Events was incredible from start to finish. I spoke with quite a few DJs on the phone and by email and Scott seemed like the right choice from the start. The package he offered, the great price and the prompt responses really swayed my decision to go with Scottify. Then we met with Scott for the first time and he was amazing! Such a nice guy, very informative and lots of experience. He throughly went over everything that was to be offered and showed us the awesome program we would have access to to chose our songs. We had so much fun picking songs and also gave Scott the go ahead to play what he felt was best. The wedding night was perfect. The music rocked! Scott made sure to keep the schedule on point and he also did all of the announcements. He was really a key player in keeping the wedding on track and did a great job at that! He had people on the dance floor from right after the ceremony till the wee hours of the morning. Another great perk was the cell phone charging station that he had beside his booth. We had our wedding at Old Mill Toronto on June 10, 2018. We found Scott on wedding wire and he was the first DJ that I messaged. He responded promptly and instantly I knew he would be a great match to our venue. Every wedding needs music and dancing and Scott provided just that. He was excellent in communicating with us from beginning to end. We live in Chicago so he offered to have Skype meetings and it suited us perfectly. He helped us in choosing our music and making sure we were ready for the big day. He was also our MC for the day and we couldn't have asked for a better one! He got everyone dancing and that is what you want. He really knows his stuff and is very professional, but also becomes your friend. We trusted him 100% and were so happy with music for the evening. He even brings a phone charging station so no one will run out of battery taking photos all night! Scott was the DJ at our wedding in May 2018 and did a fantastic job of it! Scott prepared meticulously for the event by guiding us through preparing a detailed playlist for our event, getting to know exactly what we like and don’t like and filling in all the gaps for us. He was flexibly with last-minute changes and additions and had no problem finding the obscure, foreign songs we requested. Scott was not only prompt to respond to our questions but often initiated communication and ensured we got everything done in time. Scottify Events was amazing from start to finish. Scott was so responsive the whole way through. He really took the time to get to know us and appreciate the vibe we wanted for our wedding. His site to support us through the music selection process was so great! We picked a bunch of music we liked, met with him to talk about it (and to have some laughs) and then he helped to fill in the gaps. The result was one of the best dance parties ever! Scott was also so great in communicating with our venue to sort out lighting and audio on our behalf. It took the extra stress off of us leading up to the day. We researched several DJs while planning our wedding, it wasn’t until we met Scott when we knew we had found the right fit. The guests at our wedding varied in age from 6-87 years old, but each guest found their way out on the dance floor. Scott was an amazing vendor and person throughout our planning process. Quite often he would check in with us and see how things were going, wish us well on holidays and would encourage communication to ensure that all of our needs were met. We both commented often that he was the best vendor in his methods of communication. We spoke with him several times over FaceTime and he was always available over e-mail. Whenever we had a question or thought, he would always answer back quickly. We liked how we were able to create a custom playlist so that all of our favourite songs were played, and Scott mixed them perfectly. Everything from the elegant and classy dinner music to 90’s hits, he was able to read the crowd and know what fit. When faced with some technical difficulties, Scott was able to quickly resolve the issue, although it was out of his control, he was there to step in. Music is something that is very important to my husband and I, one thing we did not want to suck at our wedding was our dance. I am not a fan of weddings where the dance dies off quick, we wanted to dance the night away with our family and friends and we were not disappointed! Scott met all of our needs allowing us to create a custom playlist for our dance and getting all the songs we requested. It was important to us that he could get all of our favourite jams but clean enough that my grandma could even listen ha and he delivered! Scott's beats kept our dance going for hours and everyone had such a blast singing and dancing to so many songs we all loved. We could not be happier with our choice to go with Scottify as our DJ and I will absolutely be recommending him to all of our friends and family! I had multiple people tell me they loved his music mix during dinner, it was the perfect soundtrack to our evening. Even up to the last couple days before the wedding Scott was flexible to switch some things around and show up a little earlier than planned to give enough set up time. 10/10! It was so hard to peel away from the dance floor to say goodbye to my guests and I truly spent most of that night just dancing with the people I love. Our wedding was a month ago and our family and friends are still raving about the fabulous job our DJ Scott did. From start to finish he was an absolute pleasure to deal with and if I had the chance to go back and do things over then Scott would be our first vendor I would call back. He was so personable, helpful with playlist suggestions, and the outcome was better than either of us could have hoped for. Our dance floor was never empty and it was without question the most we have ever danced together (it's usually hard to get my husband to dance). We really lucked out in finding Scott. It is so much more than picking your own playlist- his delivery and mixing of the music is superb, GET THE LIGHTS and trust Scott and say no to a request hour because you will not need it! Scottify Events really shows the difference in quality compared to some of the younger dj's that try to play at events. Lots of new kids don't really get it, but Scott has the skill set to mix every style and genre seamlessly, and has the ability to read the vibe from any crowd!
