My boyfriend and I walked in for a last minute catering order and Keith, the owner, was kind enough to let us place it. We ordered a pan of jerk chicken and rice and beans. When my boyfriend and I picked up our order in the evening Keith was lovely and generous enough to compliment us with a box each of coleslaw and plantains. We were so happy and grateful. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how tender and flavourful the chicken was! My boyfriend and I couldn’t have agreed more.Thank you Keith for making our first time experience at Scotthill restaurant a very wonderful one. As a woman who knows how to cook authentic Jamaican food, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I ordered King Fish and the chef made my mouth water! I attended an event at the restaurant this past Friday evening, Sept 27. My first time. The restaurant is decorated so nicely. The food is fabulous and very tasty, generous portions. I've been walking by this place for months, wanting to stop in and eat. It's an inviting spot with a warmth and, the attraction of live music by the front window. We were greeted by Kieth, owner and operator. He had such a relaxed and comfortable air about him, gracious and genuine in his manner, and a big, warm smile. One of the dishes we ordered was the "Fried Barbecue Chicken" which was, as our son put it, "The best chicken I've ever had and I want to move in..." Very nice food. We ordered one fry chicken it came out hot and fresh the rice and peas was cooked very well the oxtail gravy was perfect. I love the fact that the coleslaw was fresh cabbage. I visited ScottHill Carribean Cuisine for the first time last night. They had a trio entertaining us; a base player, keyboardist and vocalist. They were great! It gave the place a jazzy vibe. The decorator side of me admired the light fixtures while I waited for my meal. The food was tasty and the portions generous. If you're looking for excellent service and authentic West Indian food, come here. I had Ackee and Saltfish with ground food and fried dumplings.
