Update from my previous Bark review where I explained how my
deposit of £1300 was not returned and had to be paid by my Bank as a Scam Refund.
Reporting this to Action Fraud seems to have no effect and the
Banks seem happy to reimburse these Scams.
Who is going to stop this behaviour?

Update from my previous review - We have just had news from our bank to say they have investigated our case and concluded that we were the victim of a scam and have refunded the full amount of our deposit.

Sam Caines came to give us an estimate for a new garage door and was very professional and knowledgeable. He gave us a price which we were happy with and we paid a deposit and agreed a fitting date. This is when the problems started. He contacted us on the day of the fitting to tell us he could not do it as the new door had not been delivered which we accepted and set a new fitting date. On this fitting date he contacted us to cancel due to the forecast of bad weather and a date was set for the following week. On this day he just did not turn up with no explanation and despite many calls and messages he did not reply. Eventually after 4 days of calls and emails I eventually got to speak to Mr Caines and it was agreed that he would do a full refund of the deposit that had been paid. Since then on the odd occasion that he has replied to my emails he has just made excuses and promised the money would be paid soon. As we have waited for over a month now for the refund we have decided that he has no intention of paying it back so our bank are now looking in to trying to recover the money for us. On reading other reviews it seems that we are not the only people he has done this to so my advice would be to avoid using this company at all costs. More...

My experience with Scdoorco was dreadful like so many others.
Sam Cairns came to measure up and suggested the best garage door for me.
I paid £1300 deposit and a installation date agreed. This date passed as it did on another three occasions.
Phone communication was ignored and the only method of contacting Sam was via email.
After two months of excuses I requested my deposit be returned.
More delays followed and so I reported to my Barclays Bank.
They informed me after investigating my claim that they will
refund my £1300.
This has now appeared in my Bank account as SCAM REFUND.

Another victim
Do not use SC doors. Sam Caines will come across as genuine and quote a good price. He will then ask for 50% deposit. Once he has your money he will not turn up and string you along for a while then when you try to contact him he does not answer to emails or calls.
Do NOT GIVE HIM YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. I am £2k out of pocket.
Seems like this pattern is repeated on other reviews but they get removed somehow leaving only 5 star reviews. I can only assume these are from his friends and family.

We appointed SC Door Co to replace two shutters and have never been as frustrated or let down by another company.
We ourselves are a small company and the doors are important to us for our day to day operations.
After taking the deposit payment, SC Door Co initially where responsive. It wasn't until the date of install that red flags began to appear:
They didn't show to the initial date they provided.
Then when we finally managed to get in touch several days later, Sam Caines offered to come 2 weeks late and assured us they would complete the works with a 10% discount.
After then not showing on the day, Sam assuring us he would be here in 15 minutes. Only to no show again and has gone missing.
He has now been missing for 2 weeks and refuses to answer our calls or emails.
IN 20 years of business I have never been so frustrated and let down by someone.
I believe this company/site to be a scam, we are now in the process of recovering our funds through solicitors and the small claims.
I hope this review helps others not make the same mistake.

I was quite surprised to find how modern this building was, the layout and design is really smart, the colour scheme is quite cool, highly recommend this centre for office space for businesses and meetings, I have had a few meetings here and found the centre manager to be quite welcoming and professional, not only that but the price for a meeting room is quite competitively priced.

The office solutions provided at the East Durham Business Centre completely surpassed my expectations. The individual offices are bright, clean and extremely well presented with excellent facilities; including a meeting room and photography studio available to hire by the hour. The culture among the businesses already renting space is friendly and inviting - there's even a community pool table for when you can't get your 'business head' on!
