How long have you been interested in magic?
I have performed profesionally for over a decade now but my real interest in magic started at the age of 6/7 when I watched a presenter on TV from here I began to understand that what I was seeing was a trick and so asked for a magic set and from then on I was hooked.
Take us through your show – what can we expect?
Steven performs close-up magic in 2 scenarios: Walkabout/Mix n Mingle and Table Magic.
Walkabout as the name suggests is perfect for crowd of people mingling not sat down and really allows for an intimate, immersive experience where everyone can see and really experience the magic.
Conversely, Table magic is for sit down dinners and is perfect for entertaining larger crowds.
What do you love most about your job?
For me, I love the joy that magic brings to people - of all ages. It's great to see how something that is fundementally simple can have such an everlasting impact and that impression is different for every person who has seen it as our own perception is subjective. I love seeing how a group of people who start of quite shy to mingle can suddenly become the life and soul of the party after seeing some magic.
There is something so universal and delightful about magic and to share the bond I have with it as a performer to others always and continues to be the reason I perform. To share, even just for a moment something that they have never seen or experienced before and watch the wonder on their faces after is a true joy to see.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My sister actually got me into my first professional job as a magician. She worked at a football club and asked her manager to audition me. They already had a resident magician but due to my ability's and probably money too I was given the chance to entertain in the marquee every week. A year on I was asked to perform in the hospitality lounges and that's were I grew and developed my business as a professional magician at the age of 13.

Steven is represented by 2 of the UK's top Entertainments Agencies and continues to work with them on a regular basis.
