Stephen and I did our Engagement session with Savannah. She was very kind and willing to walk for a long time with us to get into the depths of the bluffs to get those perfect shots! What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Knowing your subject well, and getting creative with angles! Knowing your subject well helps you capture their personality and photos that really speak to who they are as a person. Fun and different angles can give you tons of variety as well as provide depth and perspective on the same or similar poses.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I like to ask about them, the things they like (especially with senior photos and couples shoots), etc. I also love to let my clients pick the shoot locations because I like to take photos in places that are important to them (a favorite coffee shop, the place a couple got engaged, where a client came up with their business idea, etc).
What do you love most about your job?
I love capturing people at important times and events in their life. It's an absolute privilege and joy to be alongside people on their weddings, or when their graduating and to be apart of capturing memories they'll look back at for the rest of their lives.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I fell in love with photography when I was maybe 11 years old. I saved up all my money for years before purchasing my first camera and have been pursuing my business ever since. I was inspired to start my business purely from my love of photography, and that has always, and will always be what ultimately drives my business.
Why should our clients choose you?
I provide a fun and spontaneous atmosphere for my clients. I know how uncomfortable and strange it can be to have your photo taken, but I do my best to help clients to not only be comfortable, but to have fun! I pride myself in my attention to detail both during photo shoots as well as through the editing process. I have over 7 years of experience, despite being a younger photographer. Plus I genuinely love what I do, and I love working both with, and for my clients to create an end result they will cherish forever.
