One word: absolutely amazing. Ok, perhaps that was two words, but that is how good this restaurant was...it made me forget my numbers. The chicken and lamb were cooked to the absolute perfection...I heard a chorus humming and harmonizing in the background with each bite I made. The smooth rice was both tasteful and light. Just delightful this meal was! To say that I will be a repeat customer is an understatement...I may one week choose to purchase meals from this extravagantly perfect restaurant all 7 days. Congrats to you, and please keep filling people with outstanding and perfect meals! Thank you, and until next time... - NP More...

Went here for take out tonight , we had combination platters . Lamb and chicken tikka was delicious , rice was flavorful and plentiful , scallion dumplings were in a white bean( chickpea? ) and tomato sauce . They were light, not too doughy , Devine . Definitely quick, wholesome dinner !!! But I must say , the restaurant interior is very pretty and inviting . Staff was friendly and informative . Looking forward to going and sampling appetizers . Good deal for the price . More...

Great food! The meat is extremely tender and their rice has nice flavor with whatever spices they use. Their bread which is similar to Indian bread is also delicious. Prompt service. Street parking was fine on the weekend, not sure about weekdays. Also, the food is halal for those who care... More...

The indecisiveness got me today. I walked all around the town strip in search of food. My boyfriend and I stumbled on this spot. I never had Afghan Cuisine before but I am semi familiar with the cuisine. I ordered the lamb chop platter with a side of Dhal. My boyfriend ordered the falafel platter. The lamb chops was amazing. It was tender and seasoned to perfection. My boyfriend expressed that he enjoyed his Falafel. We will return. More...

So happy this restaurant came to Suffern. The food is outstanding. Our favorites are the eggplant appetizer, the scallion pancakes, and all of the curries we've tried. The kebab platters are massive and delicious. The staff is friendly and wonderful and they include a salad with their addictive white sauce. The Turkish bread is one of the most heavenly things that's ever been baked. Highly recommended for take-out or dining in. More...

Delicious food. Huge portions. Soup (chicken) was some of the best I've ever had. Murgh Palow chicken dish was a favorite of my 7 yr old daughter. Rice was good. Carrot and raisin topping was sweet and tasty. I like the white sauce, red sauce and green sauce on every table too. We didn't love the meat dumplings. Not our flavor profile. Prices are very reasonable. Overall, VERY good food and A+ value. More...

Yum! I've been craving Afghani food ever since i Moved out of Watchung, and had to leave behind my beloved silk road restaurant, in Warren, New Jersey. Everything we ate and drank here was fantastic . My boyfriend was a little nervous because he had never tried this type of food before . However, as soon as he had a taste, he told me that he was "calling dibs" on any leftover food. The dogh (yogurt drink) was refreshing and had pieces of mint in it that were bursting with fresh herbal flavor.I became completely obsessed with the table sauces and put them on everything I could.Rice and kebab were both cooked perfectly. The only improvement could be that the person who served us (I think he may be the owner) Was not friendly . Not a huge deal. More...

My friend and I chose Sarinas for this month's ethnic dinner outing. The restaurant is spacious which allows you to have a comfortable conversation while dining. We started with an appetizer course of samosas, potato bolani, and mantoo. The samosas and bolani were crisp and delicious with the accompanying dipping sauce and the spicy sauces that were on the table. (Green and red sauces both add a wonderful piquancy). The mantoo comes with it's own sauce and was a tender and flavorful dumpling dish.We moved on to a main course of the lamb shank with rice, raisins, and carrots and the goat curry. The lamb shank was fall off the bone tender and the rice was redolent with exotic seasoning. The goat curry was a show stopper, tender as can be in a deeply flavorful sauce, all for $9.Many individuals would stop there but since we're gourmands and the food was excellent, we asked to see the menu again. Certainly glad we did, as the beef kofta kabob was one of the best bites of the night. A flavorful beef mix with a zesty spice coating that is grilled to perfection. We also had the lamb curry and it approached the goodness of the goat curry.Figuring that was just about enough savory food for one evening, we moved on to the baklava and firnee. The baklava was served warm with a decadent amount of buttery flavor and the firnee was a tasty pudding featuring some deep flavor. As a tip, if you're interested in the Kashmiri tea you should tell the staff early as it can take a while to make. We'll return to try it another time and give the rest of the menu a try. Highly recommend this restaurant. More...

Food is excellent! I'm afghani with a family who owns food businesses so we love to critique restaurants. This place serves the best mantoo which most Afghan restaurants won't do because of how much time and effort it takes (3 hours+) so I appreciate it and will drive 20-30 minutes to eat here!

The service was an added bonus of being simply immaculate. I will surely be returning to Sarinas as it has already become an instant classic.
P.S be sure to ask for either Haseeb, Wajid, or Sajid as they will assure a quality experience no matter what (Plus they're not so bad to look at)

This was the first time I tried Afghani food and it was amazing. We went during Suffern Restaurant Week and were able to enjoy 4 courses. Definitely recommend and will go back. 4/5 because there was confusion with the restaurant week menu, but they still provided great service! More...

Located over next to the Lafayette movie theater, this place is perfect for a quick bite before seeing a movie. While nothing extremely special, the meat was perfectly cooked and everything tasted good. Having tasted real Afghani food in the past, I would say this place is more Indian oriented than Afghani. The beef kabobs were perfectly cooked, however, and the rice was tasty. I would avoid ordering the mango lassi though if you've had a real, creamy version before (this was more like a smoothie with some juice and a few ice cubes in it).4/5 only because while tasty, the meal didn't have any extra spices or flavorings. If there were more toppings to add or more than just rice in the rice, this might become a frequent place for me in the future. More...

Maybe the best chicken kabob I've ever had. I've gone to a bunch of kabob places in the past, so I was kind of expecting dry and hard chicken kabobs. Totally wrong! These were marinated beautifully and grilled just right. Super-tender and juicy with just the right amount of herbs and spices. The lamb shank dish was perfectly seasoned and fall-off-the-bone delicious. Definitely try the Qurma Palow too.
