We had a great experience with Sarah + team. We had a fantastic pre shoot in Times Square. The photos are amazing. And on the day of the Bat Mitzvah, we started with photos outside and on the bima before the service - - and then Sarah met us at the celebration venue and photographed both before and throughout the party. Sarah was so thoughtful about making sure we didn't miss any important family shots - - and at the same time moved around the party so naturally. We saw the first proofs on Monday after the event. They are absolutely fantastic. I am so happy we listened to Sarah and had some black and white photos as well as a video. We already asked Sarah to save the date for our next Mitzvah! More...

I highly recommend Sarah Merians and her team. We had a fantastic engagement photo shoot with Liel at Lincoln Center - he was creative and fun to work with. Sarah and Liel did a great job capturing our wedding. The portraits before the chuppah were amazing as were the dance shots. There were also fun pictures - our friends waving their hands, people jumping up in the air, having fun on the dance floor, and when my husband David decided to go on stage to sing with the band. The video was also incredible - we love the 5 minute short clip - it really captured the essence of the wedding. Lisa and Angela were wonderful to work with on our wedding albums. Seven months later, we have all of our albums complete. I would definitely work with them again in the future. More...

Our Country Club hired Sarah to photograph the golf and tennis pros, the chefs fabulous food and hired fabulous models and a stylist to showcase the beautiful space. It had to be the most stressful production but her demeanor, her talent and her tactful method of getting everyone to move along was very impressive to all involved. Thank you so much for a wonderful wedding experience! Everything from the love story shoot to the engagement session and the actual wedding day was terrific. I LOVED working with Tina, Vinny, Jeremy, and Michael on our photos and videos. They are all good people whose fun and warm personalities kept me smiling the entire time. And I absolutely loved all the images afterwards. All our guests enjoyed the love story too, which really brought out what our relationship was really like (some even asked to see it again the next day!)

We used the photo booth from Sarah Merians! It is fabulous! Had seen it at another wedding and I knew we had to have it at my sons wedding! Lisa, Angela and Sarah are so easy to work with! We did all by email and phone!Photos were great and the video of all the photo booth pics is so much fun!The booth is the size of a movie screen that we used to use to show home movies. The size enables lots of big group pics, whether with props or not! Photos are printed right here to take home! Our guests LOVED IT!!! Our photo booth ladies were so nice (sorry I don't remember their names) and made sure we didn't need any more pictures at the end of the night before they cleaned up! Hi Sarah,I wanted to thank you for an amazing photo shoot yesterday! We were a little nervous not knowing what to expect, but from that first picture, you put all of us at ease, and it was such fun! As a mother yourself, I know you can relate to the great joy I felt (and the tears that almost started to form as well) as I watched you take pics of my family. The highlight of planning this Bat Mitzvah so far was watching you take pictures with my daughter. She enjoyed every moment and absolutely loved the pictures and the scenic areas. The two of you make a great team! It was worth almost falling on my face and being my daughter's schlepper to see the smiles and excitement on her face as you moved from place to place. I was amazed and in awe with the street pictures, as traffic swerved around the two of you, as you got the perfect shots.We received the emailed images yesterday and we all enjoyed looking at each and every picture. How can I say thank you for capturing every emotion my family experienced the day of my daughter Maddie's Bat Mitzvah. We have attended many affairs and have seen the results of the pictures taken at those events, and none can compare to the well thought out volumes of memories that your photography team captured. This is the third Bat Mitzvah that you have photographed for us and once again have achieved the most spectacular results. Everybody at Sarah Merians has been wonderful to work with! Tina did an amazing job with our engagement photos. On the day of our wedding, Sarah and Tina were wonderful! They felt like part of our family and made everybody feel relaxed and comfortable. Our wedding party repeatedly commented about how amazing they were throughout the day. The extra mile!This will be the second time we've used Sarah Merians. The first time we used her was for our daughter's infant photos. We were greeted so graciously and they styled all of the backdrops and props to compliment her outfit. I was such a nervous mom because she was a wee thing, yet they kept everything gentle and at the right pace for a baby who naps every two hours. And WOW! We still get the best feedback about the photos they took! I've had other professional photographers see them and point out excellent details I would never have understood about placement, composition and lighting. It's nice to know that what just looks happy and natural to me is also artful. We used a different local company before this for our wedding in San Francisco although we flew in a dj from New York. I hadn't liked the experience much and now I can articulate why after working with Merians. Merians was better with a world of difference. We got the first shots back to us immediately, Merians had amazing communication before and after the session and our selections were more elegant in the presentation. Their "presence" was much less intrusive (I forgot to even say "hi" to them!) at a friend's recent wedding I attended. For my family, even the options were better in terms of what kind of books we needed. All my friends I've sent to them have said the same thing. I'm simply never going to use anyone else ever again. I have had them photograph my son's bris,   photograph our immediate family portraits and also our blended family portraits for my father & his wife for all their anniversaries every 5 years. To begin, I am not one to ever write a review let alone give a rave review.  I used Sarah Merians to photograph my wedding and I must say, a rave review would be an understatement.  I could not have imagined anyone being able to capture such a huge and important day the way that Sarah Merians was able to.  To begin, on our first appointment (when interviewing photographers) the first person I met was Lisa.  SHE IS THE BEST!  Within seconds of speaking with her, you could tell how well informed she is, how professional she is and I felt like I was talking to one of my oldest friends.  Lisa was very honest and totally got what we were looking for.  We were given a few wedding albums to look through and pick the one/s that we felt the photographs would match the style we were going for.  That brought us to our photographer Pedro.  He was a superstar.  We first met Pedro when we did our engagement shoot.  He was really fun to be with and totally got how awkward it is to take such photos.  We ended up laughing the entire time over it, which inevitably made our pictures so beautiful.  The way he captured the color of our clothing and made the simplest picture look like a masterpiece is truly a gift.  Leading up to the wedding I spoke many times with Stefanie.  She could not be nicer!  She was so accommodating with when I could talk as my job does not allow a lot of time to be on the phone.  She took the time to not only talk to me but speak with my dad about his concerns for the big day too.  We planned out together from when to begin getting ready to when the night would be over.  My biggest fear is that the whole process would have been overwhelming but Stephanie made it so easy! I didn't have to do a thing!The day came and it was magical.  I felt like I never saw our photographer (which is exactly what I wanted!).  I got my photos 1 week after our wedding.  They were breathtaking.  I hate taking pictures and never really feel when you look at a photo that it captures a moment.  I felt every photo captured every moment of the entire night!  Pedro was awesome with my mom who was definitely the most nervous about being in front of the camera and was incredibly accommodating in making sure we got pictures with everyone.We took some time to sort through our photos to make the album.  We then met with Lisa.  She was beyond helpful.  We spent 3 hours with her and she was so patient with us.  She was so good at helping us decide which photos we should use, explaining the reasoning and so much more.  I really cannot say enough about Lisa and all her help! My favorite part about her is how honest she is!  Lisa was always quick to reply to an email and if I needed to actually talk on the phone, if she didn't answer, she got back to me right away.  We also purchased photos through Sarah Merians...all which are spectacular.  The images and printing of them are perfect. They look amazing and are great gifts!My parents are critics, and always have something to say...usually something on the negative side.  They have not stopped talking about my photos.  They have not a single negative thing to say about working with Sarah Merians! They loved everything about them! Especially the final product!Our album is out of this world.  And remember, I never give rave reviews...but this album is incredible.  I could not have had a better experience working with everyone at Sarah Merians and could not say enough wonderful things.  When the time comes for me to have kids...you can bet I will be using them again!My only regrets: not having them do our video and not using their photo booth.  I wish I had made the splurge.
