Sarah was the perfect florist for our August wedding and I'm so glad we found her! She was easy to deal with right from the beginning and lovely and friendly, she even made a personal trip to our house and got ideas from our home decor that we incorporated into the wedding which was so fun! The planning was really easy and Sarah took on board our ideas and created such beautiful displays better than we could have ever imagined! Whilst this year meant lots of changes and stress for those planning weddings, Sarah was calm and adaptable and the flexible approach made us feel safe and prepared for any government imposed restriction. Sarah always went the extra mile, when the government imposed a sudden quarantine whilst Sarah was on a much deserved holiday in France, she rushed home by 2am to ensure she could be at our wedding the following week and also sorted out a freelancer in case she didn't make it back in time. We felt in such safe hands and most of all the flowers were absolutely GORGEOUS, we loved them so much we took them away with us on our mini moon and they lasted for the full week, smelling amazing, our friends and family all took blooms back with them too, everyone loved them! I first came across Sarah when I was visiting Hitchin Lavender and I saw her making a flower crown. I instantly knew that she was the person that I wanted to do my wedding flowers. What do you love most about your job?
Making people happy with flowers! I really enjoy the whole process from the initial meeting to seeing the joy on the Big Day
What inspired you to start your own business?
Working for myself I am able to provide a personal service, with flexibility . I love flowers. My first after school job was at a flower gallery in New Zealand. I went on to train as a florist 20 years ago and moved to the Uk in 2002. We have two young children who are both at school and I am able to combine my floristry with family life, by employing a fantastic team to assist me.
