About

I offer integrative counselling for adults which helps them to move through loss. This sense of loss could be in the form of bereavement or the ending of a relationship. Or it might be the loss of confidence that often accompanies anxiety, of enjoyment in life that usually comes with depression or of self-esteem.

I love that every person I work with is unique and needs a slightly different approach. I’m passionate about professional development and it is always possible to grow more in this career. I enjoy seeing people make positive changes in their lives.

I really value the creative aspect of being self-employed, it’s wonderful to have ideas for new services and then be able to put them into action.

I have been working in mental health and wellbeing since 2008; in the NHS, with university students, for a low cost counselling service and now in private practice. I am deeply committed to my therapy career, having undertaken a number of professional qualifications and further training courses to be able to provide a high quality service. I believe that counselling should be affordable for everyone and have a pricing policy which reflects this.

Services

The integrative counselling I offer is founded on providing you with an empathic, non-judgemental space where you feel able to share what is troubling you and feel supported. I draw on a range of therapies including those focusing on mindfulness and compassion as well as creative interventions.

I facilitate an 8-week Mindfulness for Wellbeing Course which aims at reducing stress and anxiety as well as promoting a positive sense of wellbeing.

I offer an 8-week Compassionate Mind Training course which helps people who are self-critical, have feelings of shame or experience low self-esteem to feel better about themselves and be able to calm themselves easier when feeling distressed.
