Q&As

I love that I get to help people and that they give me the honor of walking with them through their struggles in life. I know how hard it can be to open up to someone about your vulnerabilities, but I think it is so cool to be the person who gets to see that side of humanity and help people get to a new place.

I wanted the flexibility of being able to help people on my schedule without an agency telling me how or when to see clients. I am still under supervision as an intern, but it's nice to be allowed to do therapy in ways that I was taught and not be under strict guidelines to do it a certain way. Plus, private practice is way less paperwork, so I can devote more time to focusing on my clients' problems.

I am still an intern, which means I have less experience than some other therapists, but that also means that I have a supervisor to guide me through the tough parts, so it's like getting 2 therapists for the price of one! It means that I charge less than a lot of other therapists too.

Yes, currently I am only offering teletherapy video sessions.

I am only providing teletherapy sessions until there is widespread vaccination in the US.

Services

This type of therapy can be a lot of fun, but it also means a lot of moving parts! We bring as many or as few of your family members in to work through intergenerational, recurring, or just everyday problems that families face. I love my work with families because I find that when we get a family working together on a problem it can make huge differences!

Meet one-on-one with Sara to discuss what's going on with you. She can help you learn new coping skills, give you a new perspective, and sometimes just be an empathetic listener to let you talk about some of the things you've been through that you can't talk to anyone else about. It's nice to have almost an hour a week devoted to someone focusing on your issues and helping you find new ways to deal with them. We all need help getting through life sometimes, if you find yourself struggling, then give me a call and let's see if we can't get you feeling better!
