I needed a new photographer at the last minute because the previous company we used cancelled for a photoshoot for a new property in Queens. They were available and I was extremely happy with thier work. The photos were high quality and the gentleman Tyler was professional and extremely easy to work with. What do you love most about your job?
For one, I don't even consider what I do a job. Photography is a passion of mine that I just happen to get paid for. I found a way to combine my passion for architecture with my love for the lens, I love what I do and it shows.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Originally I went to school for pre-law, upon graduating I worked for a year as a corporate paralegal and was all set to go to law school the following year. However, I quickly discovered it just was not where my heart was. So I put in my two weeks and headed down to Florida to gather my thoughts. I meant to go for a two-week vacation, however, that's before I ran into a photographer in the area by the name of Charles Galloway.
Charles was an architect/photographer living in the area whom literally just started a real estate marketing company. Upon discovering my lifelong passion for photography and my paralegal background he quickly made an offer to join his company ( www.the30alist.com ). For the next two years, I worked as the director of operations/lead photographer for the company and we grew to two offices with 20 employees and were the go-to company for anything real estate marketing related in the area. Here I had the pleasure of shooting multi-million dollar properties on Florida's emerald coast.
I then started to miss home and also had the new entrepreneurial drive to start my own real estate marketing company. Considering I shot for many Sotheby's international agents in Florida I asked a few of them to send some recommendations to a Sotheby's brokerage on Long Island named Daniel Gale Sotheby's. I then flew down and met with several offices and began shooting for them and still do.
I know have become well known on the Island and work with several big brokerages. However, I am always looking for new clients!
Why should our clients choose you?
I photograph, edit and everything single-handedly to ensure quality. I do not hire other photographers or editors and everything I do it rigorously perfected.
When you hire the other guys (there's plenty of them) your most likely going to be greeted by some contracted photographer who it just in it for the paycheck. This is a passion to me, not a job.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I offer matterport services, floorplans etc. to help sell, market and showcase homes. I am fully vaccinated and take all cautions while shooting on location.
