Kate, Many thanks for providing such a wonderful afternoon for my daughter Emily’s 5th Birthday, Emily and all her 20 friends throughly enjoyed the SandArt It was a great experience for them. Despite a power cut at the Venue, Kate was able to Keep Calm & Carry On.. She had her portable Music and speaker which was great as the Children where still able to dance and play party games Everyone commented on how different and unusual the party was and were pleasantly surprised, I Highly recommend Kate More...

My two boys (6 & 3) loved doing the SandArt pictures. Really easy to do but very effective. Hard to find something that will occupy a 6 and a 3 year old for an hour or so so very impressed with the activity and the service.

My daughter loved the sand art session run by Kate today. There were lots of designs to choose from and great guidance throughout the session with tips to create the picture. My daughter really enjoyed using the colours and peeling the stickers. She was totally engrossed and I got to help a bit when she let me! We would definitely go again and recommend it to others. What do you love most about your job?
The fact that each picture created is individual & unique...
Whichever Sand Art picture the children choose, we can guarantee that no two pictures will end up the same.
We encourage children to be brave with their colour choices, creating pictures with glorious pink, yellow and red sunsets through to our own personal favourites including Pink Dolphins!
I absolutely love it when they start to experiment - it's possible to mix and blend the colours of sand on their pictures, creating wonderful colourful effects which really make their pictures stand out.
What inspired you to start your own business?
With a background in working for The Prince's Trust, then on the canals managing 2 x 70ft narrowboats for team building and motivation building residentials and more recently as a Participation Officer, I have worked with individuals & their families for some 20+ years, supporting them to make positive changes in their lives.
I love the work I do, I am most definitely a people's person and love working in the community, however in November 2012, my life took a hit in the worst possible way - My husband, John, was diagnosed with bowel cancer, just 3 weeks after we found out I was pregnant with my 3rd daughter. Our other children Abi & Danni, were then just 3 & 1. September 2013 brought the end of John’s chemo and we thought that was it – we could get back to normal – how wrong we were…In early Feb 2014, our world was turned upside down again when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. 5 operations, chemotherapy and radiotherapy brings us up to date...I had gone straight from maternity leave onto sick leave and it was around the time of my 3rd op that I found out my job role had been decommissioned in the latest round of government cuts.
I first came across Kids Bee Happy Sand Art at a festival we had taken the girls to & after being amazed at how easily they managed to achieve such spectacular results, and having had the girls not being satisfied at stopping after just one picture, I decided to look into it some more. The following weekend we were visiting family & I spotted an advert for SandArt in a holiday magazine, which brought it to the fore front of my mind again.
I love the sense of wonder and awe you see cross the children's faces when they pour the sand over the first section of their picture and see it magically start to colour it in. The youngest I have had complete a picture has been two - the oldest in their eighties!
I love the variety of my work - whether I'm delivering workshops at a Brownie group, running an event at a local fun day, or providing entertainment at a party, I can safely say that my life/work balance is now much better and I no longer have to add on an extra 2 hours to my day, just to do the 20 minute commute to work morning and evening! No two days are ever the same :)
Why should our clients choose you?
I am a friendly and approachable individual who is honest, hardworking and an excellent timekeeper who takes pride in her work. A reliable person who has a responsible attitude to work and is able to communicate with people at all levels. I believe that I am a flexible and intelligent person, who is able to adapt to meet the needs of the situation and to deadlines.
