The SDTGA has been an invaluable resource. They put together educational fam trips, offer a very beneficial certification process for those looking to become a certified San Diego guide & offer airport workshops for those interested in knowing the logistics of DMC/Meet & Greet jobs. Once you are a certified city guide they send out requests as they come in, helping you to become a freelance tour guide. I am a proud member of this group of local tourism professionals. Everyone is so supportive of one another. More...

Just finished with our 47th middle school reunion in San Diego , we had classmates came from Taiwan and all over the US .  The proposal we received from Victor (  SDPTGA ) was a perfect fit , the committee wanted to show off San Diego from a local view point .   Victor was born and raised in San Diego , he was very organized .  We had 3 - 4 hour day trips planned.  Each day, Victor was able to find a perfect location for us to have a picnic lunch !  Everyone enjoyed all the day trips and thank you Victor for a job well done. I work for a tour operator that specializes in music based youth travel.  In our experience over the years, one of the most tricky aspects of an itinerary is finding a reliable tour guide that can easily relate to musical student groups and hold their attention with interesting facts about a city. San Diego Professional Tour Guide Association was easily the best experience I've had in finding and contracting a local tour guide.  Not only was my initial inquiry received and prioritized promptly, but the tour guide I ended up contracting for my group did a phenomenal job.  Bianca Jaime knew San Diego very well and did a stellar job engaging the kids. She was also very organized in the setup of the tour and accommodated all of the different sights in the group's itinerary. One thing to take away from this is the word "Professional" in their company name.  This is indeed a company of honest professionals and I would go back to them for another tour in a heart beat.  They are now my go-to San Diego tour guides.
