This place is really good! The chicken tikka masala and saag paneer with plain naan is my favorite. The lamb is really tender too. The food isn't oily either and that's a big thing to me. I've never eaten at the place before. I always order to pick up because it's right down the street. And sometimes I call to get it delivered. The service is good. When I call, a lady always answers and whoever they are, they're always nice. Sometimes they don't understand what I'm saying but I'm a patient person so it doesn't bother me. This place is quite good! We ordered the Lamb Rogan Josh, Chicken Vindaloo, meat Samosas, and paneer Naan. The meats in both entrees were tender, juicy, and we'll flavored. The Paneer Naan was a good discovery since it was the first time that I've tried Naan with ingredients inside of it. The food is absolutely wonderful and the service is great. It feels like a family environment and the food tastes just like it was made at home. I ordered this for delivery via yelp. They delivered about 10 min early which was great! I ordered the veggie samosa, butter chicken and garlic naan. Everything was delicious! I will say that the samosa was VERY spicy, not even the dipping sauce could balance the heat. I've had ones that are more mild so I wouldn't order these if you can't take the heat. More...

One of the best restaurants I've been to in awhile. My girlfriend loves Chinese food, and I love eating Indian food haha. So needless to say this was perfect for us . This place far exceeded our expectations by serving one of the best cultural collaborations in the valley. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to do their tastebuds a HUGE favor. I think I found my new favorite restaurant. Not even kidding. As stated in some of the other reviews, FINALLY a great Indian place in the valley! !!!! Today on the menu, my friend and I ate the Lamb Tikka Masala, okra masala, chicken vindaloo, rice, garlic naan....and orange chicken  and BOY WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED OMG.The food is soooooooooooo good. Finally a good local Indian restaurant to go to. Since I've been living in the Valley for the last 10+ years I havent found a good Indian restaurant in the area. Service is always great, the Indian food is good and the prices are reasonable. My only complaint is  their consistency. They need to work on consistency of their food more. For example, one time we got the paneer masala and it was yellow on color and than the next time it was orange. I prefer it to be orange. Also, sometimes when we ask for mild it's too spicy and than when you tell them they gladly fix it but than it tastes too bland. Also, when we ordered the gulab jaman it was served cold. It would have been nice heated up. Gulab jaman needs to be heated up. Would come back and recommend. They could use some work on keeping things consistent. More...

Tidy land neat place with dedicated parking for the customers . Michelle in the front is very helpful and eager to help her customers . I went there for Indo Chinese food and I was not disappointed. Gobi Manchurian was perfect but chilli chicken needs to improve. I have better chilly chickens at a lot of places . The sauce was perfect but the chicken was not because it was added from indian tikka chicken . Hope the owners will pay attention to it . Prices are very reasonable and customer service is excellent. FOUND IT !!!  After trying out 8 Indian restaurants in the west valley, I found one I like.  Yes, I am picky about my Indian food.  Samrath Indian is EXCELLENT.  This is high octane flavors.   This is best as a "Take Home" spot.  Order ahead, and pick up and take it home.  You can eat in, but it's more of a fast food / mini mall spot.   I have gone to all of the highly rated Indian spots in the Canoga Park, West Hills, Reseda areas, and left with disappointing results, until I went to Samrath Indian.  So, this is it.  I found it.   The people that run the place are also super friendly, and appreciative that you are choosing  them.  Its wonderful. I am so happy that is placed open close by. This guy really knows how to do Indo Chinese food. I never thought I'd have the craving to eat Chinese food with an Indian spin. But now I can't get it out of my head. It's a constant craving. And I'm really happy to have it.These flavors are so amazing and delicious! And the prices are fantastic. The food travels really well for take out. And even heating up the next day it taste even more delicious.I family likes a good chicken masala, and he always does it with white meat. His masala sauce over rice is great even without the chicken. Which is an extra added bonus. He really doesn't pull the punches when it comes to seasoning. I think that's the keto really good Indian dish. Which makes it challenging for a lot of chefs. Â I'm not really certain that there's any other Indo Chinese restaurants in the area. I hope my review inspires you to come and try it. I promise you you're not going to be disappointed.The parking is a little rough. Kadhai JackfruitBold spice profile and a wonderful medley of flavors. The jackfruit almost has a very tender meatiness to it, contrasted by the crunch from the onion and peppers. Both texturally and flavorfully awesome.Pork MomoPass.Xiao Long BaoAll the juices leaked and spilled out by the time they arrived, which defeats the purpose of this dish. The pork itself is also not juicy, probably because of this. Pass on this as well.Saag paneer Nice chunks of paneer, the spinach is very creamy and the spectrum of spices plays on my whole palate. The prominent cardamom adds such a nice lingering flavor.Chicken Tikka MasalaThe tang and creaminess of what I think is yogurt rather than cream with the spices is bold, full bodied delicious! While I was rather displeased to see that the quality of the dumplings did not carry over, I am absolutely delighted and pleasantly surprised to say that the Indian fare they serve here is some of the best I've had in the valley, and definitely my new favorite! All the flavors were confident and full bodied spectrums of deliciousness! I highly recommend dining here and sticking to the Indian menu here and I don't see how you can be disappointed. I feel like they kept the Chinese menu because this location used to be a Chinese restaurant, perhaps in a bid to retain former customers, but honestly I can taste and feel heart they put into the Indian menu items, and think they don't need to stretch themselves to try and cater to more people if Chinese food isn't something they're intimately familiar with. Focusing on just an Indian menu where the passion shines through is I think the best.Update: they're now offering rice AND naan (not just one or the other) for combos, which is nice, but the rice was dry. And the thing is, rice is not a filler - it brings the meal together as the consistent element in each bite of a meal - and shouldn't therefore be treated as such. Owner offered us a sample of the Kung Pao chicken and chow mein. I was once told by former coworkers, that if I ever got the chance to try Chinese-Indian food, to jump on it. When I heard of a nearby Chinese-Indian restaurant, I had to check it out for myself. Samrath offers two menus actually, one Indian and one Chinese. While this was admittedly confusing at first, once we realized the dual separate menus we found a wide array of entrees to choose from. They are a full Chinese and Indian cuisine array, and you're bound to find one of your beloved favorites on the menu.The staff were very friendly and eager to offer tips. Many locals came by, all seemingly to know the owners. Lots of take-out orders too, which was no surprise.The food was delectable and delicious. The thai tea was one of the best we've ever had, and the table sauces and condiments packed just enough heat to be flavorable without being intolerable. I highly recommend their Indian fried rice, which as I see it is basically Chinese style fried rice using basmati rice with even more seasonings, making for a unique blend and fusion. The Indian dishes packed some heat and were delicious, served in thematic metal bowls. We also ordered some dumplings which would have easily been at home at a dim sum house.All in all, I look forward to coming back and trying more of their selections; there are definitely a lot to choose from! Wow! Amazing service, AWESOME food, great environment. Lots of parking, tons of selection, personal attention from the staff, and they taught us a bit of Hindi!
