Describe your creative process.
I always start by gathering as much information as possible from the client. Any images, links or sketches the client can provide at this stage are very welcome. Next I will either sketch ideas, 'thumbnails' or if this is not required, I will often sketch my plan (if the project is digital) or the initial rough sketches / templates if there is a hand drawn element to the project. When this is approved by the client I will start work 'properly' (either using ink or putting things together on the computer.) From here on in, it is usually a process of sending drafts / potential finals to the client for feedback, and making adjustments until the client is happy. Upon full receipt of payment, the final files / product is released to the client.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
Effectively a very detailed brief, including any images, links, or sketches that can be provided. Sometimes it may help to have a webcam conference or phone call if the project is very complex and hard to put into words. It is also very important I know of any deadlines and how important it is these are not missed.
What do you love most about your job?
Variety. Every job is something new. Also producing something myself and the client can be proud of.
What inspired you to start your own business?
It was something I had planned on doing for some time, then things just felt right so I went for it.
