Saltwater has been around for a bit now and hands down is the best fresh market in the area and dare I say Southeast. Clint and Elizabeth are so friendly and helpful that you can call, text or add a comment on their daily video and get your question or pre order answered quicklyDaily videos on Facebook live show you the case, which include Clint filleting the freshest fish out there, not to mention dry aged, prime steaks, veggies and more. The Provisions Test Kitchen serves breakfast (pancakes, beignets etc...) certain days and for lunch they run specials where you buy stuff in the market and they'll cook it for you right there. Yesterday we had boiled shrimp and a few fish baskets which was so fresh and delicious I cant describe it. The shrimp are boiled in a pot that has been marinating with Old Bay most of the day so your flavor is boosted up over and above what you can do at home. Provisions also offers cooking classes as well.They have a location in Gastonia as well and hopefully they continue to open new locations as this is a place that needs to be shared with the world! Steak was good. Scallops were amazing. Sooo sweet. It's a must to sear on high heat. I recommend cast iron skillet over charcoal. 550 degrees.

We've eat here several times. I am disappointed that they do the Po boys anymore. They had the best shrimp po boy I had ever eat. I loooove this place! They are great people and a very fair with their prices, the quality of food speaks for itself. Majority of the sea food are sushi grade and taste way better than the seafood at a regular supermarket. The Test kitchen allows you to sample the products with no extra charge than what you would have spent buying them,but they cook it for you!
