Saltmarshe Hall

Saltmarshe made our wedding day perfect. Hannah was our co-ordinator throughout and did an absolutely brilliant job. Her communication was punctual and clear throughout, they incorporated everything that we wanted from our day and organised everything coming together on the day to make it absolutely perfect for us! The food that was served for our wedding breakfast was absolutely divine! We had so many compliments from our guests on the food that they brought out. The hall and grounds speak for themselves, and we have absolutely beautiful wedding photos because of it. All in all, it was a perfect day, all made possible thanks to Hannah and the team at Saltmarshe. We look forward to staying for our anniversary next year! More...

I was privileged enough to attend a wedding here this last weekend and I can not praise the staff or venue enough. In an absolutely breathtaking and immaculate setting each and every member of their team were beyond reproach. They made every task look effortless and were prepared for every eventuality all whilst being incredibly friendly and attentive. My meal was by far the best vegan food I have ever been served, the risotto was so so good. Incredible day. I hope everyone I know gets married here so I can return often! More...

We got married here this year and i can not thank Hannah and Leah enough for all their efforts and organisation on the hottest day in June in 20 years. A hidden gem in the East Yorkshire country side. Mainly used as a wedding venue. Dining is only by arrangement when not in use for a wedding. Good simple food, well presented. Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish! Had afternoon tea which was lovely at the start of our trip. We stayed in the Yorkshire suite which was just beautiful! Evening meal was perfect and so was breakfast! All staff we spoke to were so welcoming, from the cleaners to the receptionist staff and waitresses. We can't recommend this hotel enough! Saltmarshe Hall,is set in an idyllic oasis in rural East Yorkshire , with no traffic noise and beautiful gardens. It is close to the river Ouse and you can watch ships sailing past while sipping a glass of white wine on the river bank. The house itself is sumptuous and yet surprisingly cosy in its feel. We had an incredible weekend at Gardeners Cottage. We had a delicious afternoon tea on arrival and the evening meal was amazing and so reasonable. The Brie and cranberry strudel was out of this world! Everyone we encountered was so friendly. The standard of the cottage, toiletries, linen, towels etc was truly 5 star. Can’t recommend Saltmarshe enough! I just want to say a massive thank you to all of the staff at Saltmarshe for making mine and Iains wedding such an easy and stress free day! Everything was amazing and ran like clock work. The staff were great and friendly and the venue is just out of this world! Amazing food and service was fab! Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was extremely well looked after. A special thank you to Kate and Hannah for putting up with us all and especially me in the run up to the big day!
