What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Lighting. If you understand how important lighting is, you can create two completely different stories with just one image. Lightness and darkness play major roles in our moods and how we perceive the world around us, and they can change the mood of an image just the same.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I always provide an in-depth complimentary consult with each client once a booking has been confirmed. Clients fill out a questionnaire and then we complete a phone consult to discuss it in greater detail, ensuring each client their dream session.
What do you love most about your job?
I love meeting new people and getting to know their story. I am not a cookie cutter photographer, and every session is different. It is important that each client feels comfortable and relaxed, and getting to know my clients as individuals provides them with a greater level of ease during the photography session.
What inspired you to start your own business?
As a military spouse, it is important to do something that is enjoyable, portable and helps contribute financially to our household. This is a business that can be taken anywhere in the world, and actually has taken me around the world - outside of the military locations we've been assigned.
Why should our clients choose you?
I offer clients quality and quantity - because I don't think you should have to choose between the two. My clients receive more images in the packages I offer, they have more flexibility in locations for shoots, and I offer several styles of photography, based on what each client has in mind for their session.
