For my Birthday my Husband gave me the best gift ever and took me to this studio to improve my Salsa skills. Was I thrilled? I was and extremely happy for his choice. The Studio is located in the second floor and very clean. From the Restrooms to the floors. I was very impressed with the location and how clean this place is. Parking? We always able to find parking with no problem. Now, let me address the Instructors. They are very good. So far we had taken most of the classes from Salsa to Hip Hop. I always feel welcome there. Lovedddd this salsa class. My husband took me on a surprise date to a Majesty in Motion salsa class and it was so much fun! The vibe was very relaxed and non intimidating. Everyone here was so nice. The instructors went at a perfect pace and were so friendly and helpful. We went to a beginner salsa class and we learned a lot for just one hour of dancing. You definitely get your monies worth. Wonderful studio and teachers. Took salsa many years ago at another studio and felt like I absorbed nothing, but I love the way the Majesty taught it and I feel like I've gotten so much more out of each class. Also tried Hip Hip Cardio and was super fun too. Parking lot is small for the small shopping center but not hard to find street parking nearby. I've always had a love for Salsa music and decide to refine my dancing skills. I first took Salsa lessons at Sevilla with David and loved his energy. From then I knew there was so much for me to learn and I couldn't stop there. I stumbled across their unlimited month Groupon pass in March and I haven't left since. I have fell in love with the dance instructors. They give constructive feedback and genuinely care about you as person. Robbie's bachata class is so fun! Talk about bringing sexy back. Anthony's salsa class is always challenging and so fun! I'm always laughing. I am always learning something new in David's salsa classes. There honestly is no going wrong with any instructor. I love the classes here (so far that I've taken). I had ventured over here as one of my friends Andrew recommended me here. I took on Beginner's Salsa Bootcamp with Anthony. There was a four day bootcamp going on - one Monday a week for the month of April - which I took. We first learned the basic steps and then partnered up after dancing and practicing the first couple of steps mirroring Anthony. Everyone gets a turn to move to the front, so don't be shy! You won't learn if you never move up. It's pretty nice because then afterwards you get to video them at the end so you could see what there is to work on by rewatching it on your own spare time.The following month afterwards I took Beginner Sensua Bachata with Robbie. It was also a four day bootcamp as well. It's also the same dance schedule but different! I got to watch David's class of Mambo on 2 which seems to be a faster version of Salsa. Which I hope to drop in someday.Currently I'm taking the Level 2 Salsa Bootcamp - as I love their Monday timings (7-8:30) works for me!For classes it was offered $45 for 4 classes. But I heard another girl I met here mention she got a deal off of Groupon. On Yelp, I did notice their $30 for $40 offer which I wish I had checked when I came in the first time! But I have gotten too far in by the time I've noticed.I can't wait to try out all the classes when I can. So far, I've been venturing out once a week here. But I'm seeing if I'll be able to change that as it's so much fun learning here. Everyone is super sweet here. Andrea and Tiffany helped me out with the Mindbody app when I was having issues logging on.  Everyone encourages you to try social dancing as well at the other clubs which is at my list to do. David and Anthony are both amazing instructors with genuine personalities. The place is clean and there is good energy as soon as you walk in. Classmates here are all so easy going and fun. No one is taking it too seriously to the point of frustration but serious enough to learn the moves all while enjoying it. I am really happy I chose this place. I have only been three times now but I really enjoy and look forward to my classes. They have become the highlight of my day. This is a great place, you will have no regrets. This place is awesome and great for all you Latin lovers! Instructors are professional and friendly. The space is clean. There are two studios adjacent. Easy to find; It's in a shopping center upstairs. Plenty of street parking and small parking lot. It's on the expensive side but other than that, I have no complaints. New student special is $75 for one month unlimited-totally worth it if you're dedicated to try a bunch of classes for a month! Hands down THE best place to start your salsa dancing journey in San Diego! Instructors: David and Jennifer will give you the tools to feel confident on the dance floor in a welcoming and fun environment. Very down to earth couple who wear their love for the art of Salsa on their sleeves. Lessons: Classes are often large. Material is broken down into understandable pieces. The instructors are kind enough to demo at the end of class so that you can record the material and practice what you've learned at home. I started off with Majesty in Motion about a year ago. I didn't know how to salsa and didn't have a dance background. I started off with the group classes and picked up a lot. I have since joined one of the beginner teams and love it even more. All of the instructors are good. No partner required, rotating is encouraged because it makes everyone a better dancer. David and his crew at Majesty in Motion are absolutely phenomenal! My fiancé and I decided to try out salsa dancing on a whim last January and ended up at Tango Del Rey on a Friday evening. The first hour of the night was a class hosted by David and that was our first exposure to salsa. Needless to say, we had a great time and began taking classes at the studio soon after. Since then, I have danced in Mexico, Peru, Boston, and NY and NONE of the classes I have taken can compare to our experience at Majesty in Motion. David and his instructors are not only great dancers themselves, but they are one with the dance. As instructors, they understand the physical and mental blocks of their students better than the students themselves and this is the defining characteristic of great teachers and the single most important quality that has allowed us to progress as well as we have with this dance company.Joining the salsa team has positively impacted my life in ways I could have never imagined. Never having danced before in my entire life, it's an honor to be a part of a team comprised of such motivating, talented, and charismatic individuals. David and Jenn are GREAT instructors. I danced with them 2008-2011, and even with the passed time, their fundamentals, footwork and techniques stick with me to this day. Majesty is one of the best salsa companies to go to if you're a beginner and never danced salsa before. They also offer intermediate courses for those that want to grow in their salsa skills. I think the best thing about Majesty is how often they have classes and you can make them fit into your schedule. The instructors and all the dancers are nice and friendly. I am updating my review on this***. I've been here maybe a total of 3 times now. This time was a much better experience then prior times as I've previously reviewed. An even amount of shines to partner work was noted which caters to all students, and can I say I truly admire their partner work combos so I was extremely happy I got the opportunity to learn with them on that. The 5 star reviews for Majesty in Motion already speak for themselves.  You'll come across talent in most cities in this industry, but the quality of instruction at this studio is legitimate pro-level coaching.  I opted for private lessons for the obvious reason that you get one on one advice, tailored towards your level of experience.  For me, it was my first time ever receiving lessons.  If you're on a budget, the group lessons are a phenomenal deal and you'll likely end up meeting  a ton of people at or above your level of experience.  The training does not just end in the studio.  Jennifer and David (easily the best dancers that I know) even encourage their classes to meet downtown (or wherever the spot for the night is) to dance together and further advance what they learned in the studio.  If you want to meet great people and become a Salsero, reach out to them. I decided to buy the month groupon for salsa and bachata lessons, and I am so glad I did. In the past few weeks, my dancing has gotten so much better and I've learned so much. Majesty and Motion helps you build an excellent foundation in dancing Salsa with it's informal yet well structured classes.
