I've been here about 5 times. We come here when in Albuquerque. Very good food and service. Today I had a Panino alla Turchia Sud-occidentale aka Southwest Turkey Panini. It's delicious. The green Chiles have some heat, but they don't overpower the other flavors in the sandwich. I'm not a pasta salad girl, but their pasta side salad had great flavor and the pasta was perfect in texture. I'm a bit of an Italian food critic, because it's my specialty in cooking. The first time I walked into this college-styled restaurant I was amazed at how unique the design was. It is hard to describe the theme of the restaurant but it all sort of comes together to create its own unique theme. It includes designs and themes from all over the world paying tribute to Hollywood, New York City, New Mexico, Egypt, Greece, etc. Now the food, the pizza is by far my favorite as it is made fresh once you order it. The portions for anything you order here are huge and very inexpensive as to accommodate a college demographic. The pizzas do take a while to be made once you order them so be prepared for that. The green chile pizza with sausage or pepperoni was very good. One of the top three in New Mexico as far as green chile and pizza goes. I also had the seafood pasta, creole pasta and the diablo pasta. The seafood pasta was by far the better of the three. The creole was my least favorite with the flavors not being there for a creole pasta. Loved this place! Came here after the ballon fiesta and was pleased to find that it wasn't packed!  The atmosphere was very unique and unlike any other restaurants I went to in Albuquerque. The employee who helped us was very helpful and patient. We shared a pizza and it was fantastic. This place really does not skimp on toppings. Saggios was a bit more expensive than I would have expected from a restaurant across the street from a college campus, but definitely worth the price. More...

This is by far my go-to place to take all my friends visiting from out of town. Being a grad student at UNM, we're fortunate to have this place next to campus. The artwork is incredible and the fact it feels like a sports bar/Italian restaurant is irresistible! My favorite meal is the chicken Caesar panini with the Caesar salad. I also have tried the calzones and ciabatta sandwiches and they're all amazing! The staff is super friendly too and if you have room for dessert, which is tough, you should try the cheesecake which is amazing! Definitely worthwhile! More...
