A First Class Experience. We needed help in writing our wills, arranging Lasting Powers of Attorney, and putting our house into a Trust. The help we received gave us confidence that our needs would be met and to a high standard. Everything was fully explained and questions answered satisfactorily. We would have no hesitation in recommending Safeguarding Futures Ltd to our friends and family More...

I have long been a client of Steve (he was my financial adviser for several years). Recently had my will drawn up and bought prepaid funeral plans with his (and Melanie’s) help.

Q&As

The main thing that we enjoy about our job is meeting people and offering a personal service. We gain particular satisfaction from leaving our customers in a better position than we found them.
As a consequence, much of our business comes through the referral of satisfied customers to other people that they know who would like a similar service.

With our respective backgrounds, and having just taken a year out of work to care for a close family member with Alzheimer’s, it occurred to us that there was a way of combining our skills to help others.

In our previous professional lives, we were struck time and again how much misinformation and wrong advice people were given when it came to making some of the most important decisions in their lives. Many people were completely unsure as to where to go (and who to trust), in securing their own and their family’s future. We also realised that people were in difficult situations, particularly when caring for family members, and did not know what the future held. We found that they were worried about the future, but didn’t know where to turn for advice and support. Understandably, many people find visiting a solicitor or dealing with a local authority a very difficult and daunting prospect. We, at Safeguarding Futures, endeavour to provide a friendly and personal service, which could help to ease the stress of making those important decisions.

We are a husband and wife team with over 35 years combined experience in will writing, estate planning, financial advice and in health and social care. Between us, we are able to guide our customers through the legal jargon associated with important legal documents and the bureaucracy of the health and social care system.

Our company is a member of the Society of Will Writers and, as such, we are bound by their regulatory requirements to keep our knowledge up to date and be properly covered by Professional Indemnity Insurance to ensure our customers are fully protected in the unlikely event of a mistake being made.

We have been told that we are friendly, efficient and easy to deal with. We always see people at a time and a venue which suits them, usually their own homes.
We only charge for producing the documents that the customer requires and we also offer a vast amount of free advice and after care which our customers tell us is invaluable.
