So pleased we chose Andy to teach our Dan, more so because of Dan having a few complex issues that meant he may struggle a little more with coordination & following verbal instruction, but Andy was fantastic with him & fully understood the issues Dan has. He’s now passed his test & he’s a very confident young driver thanks to Andy. I’d recommend him to anyone who may have special needs of any type, i.e. anxiety, dyspraxia, Autism etc & may feel driving will be a massive challenge for them. Our Dan thinks the world of Andy & classes him as one of his friends now & will definitely recommend him to any of his friends who need an instructor in the future. Andrew is a great driving instructor, he teaches you how to drive properly, not just how to pass a test. Despite me having a few difficulties Andrew is patient and always finds a way around what you might be having problems with. I took my test on Durham which was excellent because Andrew knows all the roads perfectly, so you really get to understand them and how to drive correctly on them; which in a city can seem quite overwhelming at points, but Andrew made it very simple. Definitely one of the best driving instructors around and was always an absolute joy to get out on the road with. Would recommend to anyone looking to learn to drive. More...

Andrew took me on after a failed test from a different instructor and helped me drive to a high enough standard to manage any situation I encounter in the future comfortably, not just the standard needed to pass the test.

Beginners Driving Lessons
When embarking on driving for the first time this can be a very exciting but daunting prospect. Like everything from walking to talking we were not born knowing how to turn a wheel, change gears and anticipate other road users.
Here at Safe2go we pride ourself in the fact that we gear our tuition to match the learner's ability.
We also do not just get our students ready for their test, we ensure they are equipt with driving skills that will hep them drive safely throughout their driving life.

Refresher Driving Lessons
The road systems are constantly changing with the introduction of Smart motorways, ever increasing lane discipline roundabouts and more traffic light controlled junctions than ever before.
Many new and veteran drivers see familiar routes changing overnight and are a little apprehensive how to deal with these new layouts.
A couple of refresher lessons with patient and understanding instructions are usually all that is needed to enable drivers to feel more confident around these changes,
