What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The key to taking a great photograph is connecting with your clients on a personal level and letting yourself just live in their moment.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Upon starting a new project with a client, I may ask several questions such as:
What are you looking for in a photographer? What do you envision for your personalized photo session? Tell me about your favorite photograph of your family (child, self, etc) to-date; what is it about this photograph that makes you fall in love with it over and over?
If we seem to click and are the right fit for each other then I would start asking more specific questions about the session/event they’re looking for.
What do you love most about your job?
I love getting to connect with and form friendships with my clients while capturing their true spirits which they can display as artwork for years to come.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I’ve always loved photography. I remember learning on my father’s 35mm film camera as a child. As I grew older and started having a family of my own I became increasingly driven to gain more knowledge in the art and mechanics of photography. I decided to take some college level classes. About a year and a half into my classes I just knew I didn’t want to keep this knowledge to myself - I wanted to share these new skills and talents with other so they too could freeze the beautiful moments and milestones in their lives.
