I forgot to mention that if you look at the earlier reviews on this site (October 2011) you will note that Mr Stuart Easey, HIMSELF has fraudulently posted 2 reviews about his own company !!

Mr Easey has just applied for the Liquidation of SJ DESIGN AND BUILD LTD. Only a few weeks ago they have formed a new company called PRIORY HOME EXTENSIONS LTD (Co no : 12173127) . I note that only a Jane Maureen Easey is shown as the sole director. Mr Easey comes across as a very fair and nice fellow to do business with. But as our Garage conversion project rolled on, he became unreliable, untrustworthy. He even left the back of our house open to the elements for months showing no care or concern for my family. We got so fed up that we had no option but to sack him. It later turned out that he had not even complied with building control requirements and his electrical, plumbing and plastering work proved to be shoddy (which I had to have re-done). We reported him to the Federation of master builders and had him expelled. He was on Checkatrade but they too have De-listed him. Previously he had a business called S.J. Property Maintenance, then became a Limited entity as SJ Design & Build Ltd, and now PRIORY HOME EXTENSIONS LTD. He takes money from people and fails to deliver and then hides behind the LTD status leaving unsuspecting victims in his trail. He still owes us £6000. Please avoid him and any of his associates at all times as they are all a disgrace to the building trade. More...

How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
garage conversion are becoming more and more popular the main thing is the height
and off course the services which in some cases are in the garage
water gas and electric
which can all very expensive too move.

after planning if this is required and if any services have been moved if required.
wiring will take place and plumbing
if the garage door is being removed and window installed this will be carried out.
insulation on walls and floors
plastering boarding and plastering.

How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
the main thing with lofts is the height
we would need approx 2.2meters plus as a minimum.
Run us through the different stages in the loft conversion process - what’s involved?
after planning has been passed if required
we will erect scaffold as required
steels will be fitted and the new floor installed.
dormer will be built if required and then new stair case installed.
all first fixing ]inslution and plasterboard and plastering.
