Outstanding personal service! We needed to preserve old slides and convert them to a digital format for my fathers “celebration of life” service. Florida Institute of Technology, Huntsville Site had the principals of S & S Photography (Steve & Sandy) handle its annual Commencement Exercise this past Friday, 18 May 2012. Steve and Sandy were most helpful in acquiring the desired photographic shots and coverage of this event from start to finish; they were unobtrusive during the event; but, nonetheless, took all the necessary pictures of graduates, guests, and staff in a very professional manner. Their turnaround in providing the finished digital deliverables was most expedient and met some of our stringent deadlines for publication in local media. Based on their excellent, professional service, Florida Tech Huntsville now has its ""permanent"" photographers for subsequent activities requiring such--S & S Photography! More...

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Asking the proper questions in the interview and being able to switch gears on the fly.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What are your expectations. What would you like from the photo session. ie. Digital / Traditional photo album, digital files or nothing. Are you allowing sufficient time for us to do the session etc.
What do you love most about your job?
The fact that I am doing something entirely different than I did yesterday. Also, that we are learning a new technique, a new piece of equipment and working with people who appreciate my experience and abilities.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The passion that I found that came with photography was inspiring. And after all these years I still can summon that passion to help me produce the images that form in my mind.
We are full time photographers with a brick and mortar studio. Not many left.
