I had such a great experience with Rustik Catering! I ordered "DIY Catering" for my rehearsal brunch and the food was incredible. I got so many compliments on the food! It was so easy too. I picked what I wanted online, they even let me customize a dish which was pretty awesome, then they dropped it off at my location. Nic & David were super friendly and great to work with. If I could give Dave and RustiK Catering 100 Stars I would. Dave and his team catered our 6/15/19 wedding in a "Pop Up Dinner" style to include 5 courses complete with a custom menu Dave came up with after meeting with my husband and myself to get a feel for what we like and a theme to tie all our dishes together. It was truly phenomenal! Dave spoke about his dishes before each meal and his inspiration as they were being served. It was the highlight of the night! Each course was truly unique and absolutely mouthwatering! Everyone was raving about our wedding food (and how often does that actually happen?) and our guests loved how personable, friendly and attentive Dave and his staff were. With such a specialized menu, there was a lot of pre-planning and conversations had before the big day and Dave was communicative, flexible, humorous, organized and intentional. He worked within our budget and kept us apprised all along the way. Now I just need to think of an excuse to throw another party and hire Dave! Thank you RustiK Catering! More...

We had our holiday party catered by David @ Rustik Catering and it was wonderful. The staff is so professional and friendly. And the food is fantastic. Everyone at our event came up to me and complimented the chef. We have 60 guests and everyone was well fed and happy. We had a buffet with appetizers and dessert included. The beer braised beef brisket and freshly grilled Mahi Mahi were delicious. David's handmade cannolis are incredible. David was so easy to work I can highly recommend him to anyone wanting a great party. More...

Chef David knows what he's doing - what a pro.We approached him to cater the cocktail hour of our wedding on relatively short notice. He worked with us to find the ideal food for the best price.And let me tell you. The stuff he made was delicious. Literally every item he made was a hit amongst our friends and family. Some liked his custom salad the best. Others like the gazpacho. My parents loved the crostini bar. We loved it all.I'll be updating with photos later, but the presentation was beautiful too. The food almost looks too good to eat!We couldn't have had such a successful big day without David and his food. It made it even more special because Rustik is a special kind of caterer. RustiK is THE up and coming catering company in the San Diego area for very good reason. I was lucky enough to score tickets to their beer pairing + tasting event, and I'm still talking about the food we had that night. One of the best parts of living in California is access to the finest freshest produce dairy and meat before it gets shipped off to the east coast -- especially when chefs from New York get their hands on it - Chef Dave at Rustik provides the quintessential example of this. Tons of creativity in the food pairings, things I would never expect, but not at all "over the top" or weird/stuffy. Although well seasoned, the flavors of each main element (beef carpaccio, smoked mushroom sausage, beef short rib masala) is really what shined through.
