I loved working with Chris! We used this service for our wedding in June and it was amazing! We used his then venue, Tralee. It was always so relaxed, accommodating and helpful. My mom is really big on local food. And the food was amazing. We got a custom menu of Austrian schnitzel and apple strudel for dessert as one of the options. And it tasted as good as my moms did for 120 people! I loved working with him, he helped at the bar too when things got busy. He is a GREAT person that cooks AMAZING food. Highly recommend. More...

My husband and I came across Rural Roots when simply Googling caterers in the Orangeville/Caledon area shortly after we got engaged last July. We connected with Chris and at the time had no idea that we were in the best hands possible! We honestly could not have chosen a better caterer! We got married in a barn with no kitchen, no running water and limited electricity. Chris and his team not only served 150+ people a plated meal but also provided bartenders, servers for cocktail hour and all the necessary staff to clear the tables and clean up at the end of the night! We received endless compliments on the food and people still continue to ask for the soup recipe! The day of went off with not a single issue and we are so thankful! I also should mention the communication leading up to the wedding, it was so helpful and always reassuring. Any time I had a question or was panicking about little details Chris would have a solution. He made it seem easy and that is exactly how the night went! The biggest things for me when planning our wedding were price, quality and effective communication, I would rate Rural Roots Catering a solid 5 star in each category! We used Rural Roots for our August 2017 wedding at the Alton Mill. I couldn't recommend them more. Chris worked with us to develop a menu that suited our needs perfectly (and was able to think a little outside the box) for an amazing dinner that all our guests are still raving about. We used Rural Roots as the caterer for our wedding in July 2017. We had our wedding at Tralee and Chris (and later Taylor and Heather) helped us throughout the planning process. Chris was great, he responded to our emails in a timely manner and was very understanding when we had special requests for the day of. Taylor and Heather helped coordinate the few days before the wedding and the day of and they were also great to work with. The day of the wedding was very smooth and the food was delicious, high standard, and presented very nicely (we had many of our guests mention how much they enjoyed the food!) . I would recommend Chris and his team to anyone looking for a wedding caterer, they are professional and the Tralee Wedding Facility is a beautiful spot for a wedding! It's a unique mix: not a 'typical banquet hall', it has a smaller house on the property for the cocktails and a bigger house for the reception, it has indoor and many outdoor options (in case of rain!) for the ceremony, and LOTS of outdoor green space for photos. It's absolutely beautiful and not far from Toronto (which is where all our guests came from). The packages provided by Chris for the wedding venue and his catering company were affordable and had many options to customize to our liking. I would recommend Rural Roots Catering to anyone!
