Tarryn and I were fortunate enough to have Ruan take images during our Honeymoon in the Robberg Nature Reserve in Plett as we eloped - but we did want images to mark our happy day as well as hopefully show the immense love we feel on the inside. Having seen some of Ruan's previous work, I knew he was the right guy for the job! Ruan was nothing short of a delight, and it was such a pleasure to work with him. There were many photographers in South Africa and in the Western Cape area - I certainly have searched enough before I flew in from Singapore.
When I looked through Ruan's portfolio I knew he was the one that could capture those special moments.
Ruan had been excellent in helping us put together an itinerary, and recommending even hairstylist and make-up artists. We were jittery when we first started, but he had a way of easing you into the idea of photography. He was also very receptive of the ideas that we would like our photos to be, and goes great length to help us achieve it.
Polite and professional as he is, I have great respect for him and the work he has done for us, and many more couples and families past and future.

Even before getting engaged I always told my then boyfriend, that one day when we do get married Ruan MUST take our wedding photos.
There is a lot to compromise and consider when planning our wedding, but the one thing I knew for certain was that Ruan will take our photos - I would not compromise on this! (I always advise my friends getting married - make the flowers less, gosh change the menu to suit your budget, BUT do not compromise on a great photographer - those memories need to be perfectly captured for years to come...the many coffees to drink looking through the beautiful wedding albums).
In addition to Ruan being an absolutely amazing photographer, he is also extremely honest. Ruan has an extremely high work ethic and goes out of his way to assist his clients. You want someone like this on the most special day of your life.
Once again Ruan, thank you for being you and being so calm! Your calmness is contagious and that's why your photos are the best! It's not pretentious and so real! We could not have asked for a better photographer!

My husband and I are absolutely honoured to have had the privilege of working with Ruan Redelinghuys as our wedding photographer.
Prior to Ruan's arrival, I was feeling anxious and overwhelmed...but within minutes of working with him I was calm & confident. I struggle with anxiety and generally having a camera in my face would make it worse....but when you work with Ruan, you know you are safe and nothing can stand in the way of breathtakingly beautiful results if he's behind the camera.
