To understand, our company I would like to start from the beginning showing you how RSVP Catering started close to four decades ago in the catering business behind our "First Lady", Marsha Polk Townsend who has achieved near-celebrity status in the world of food in the San Francisco Bay Area.
She was the first African- American woman to graduate from the California Culinary Academy, and her name and likeness, business and creative recipes and menus have been touted in publication like the Oakland Tribune, San Francisco Chronicle, San Francisco Focus Magazine, and San Jose Mercury News. Marsha is also a well respected member of her community, assisting with efforts relating to feeding the hungry and helping homeless through her work with Habitat for Humanity and Oakland Potluck.
We thank you, for the opportunity to be considered in catering your event on this upcoming date, my name is Morgan Townsend, the owner of RSVP Catering, I'm a Bay Area born and raised chef and come from a family of chefs, with my mother Marsha Townsend being the first female African American graduate of CCA, following in my mother's footsteps, I graduated from the CCA in 2007 after a 2 year stent at Michelin Starred restaurant - La Folie, under Chef Roland Passot. We have catered the Academy Awards, Yelp!, FitBit, Apple and Samsung are one of our many consistent clients and we would love to provide that same experience to you!
